Osho describes love as transformation. It is painful because it transforms and transformation is going to be painful because the old has to be left for the new. While the old is familiar, secure, safe, the new is absolutely unknown. With love we will be moving in an uncharted ocean.

This one is well worth listening to a few times. Osho said that those that don't love cannot see themselves because love is a great reflector, it's essentially a mirror allowing you to see yourself through another person's eyes. This actually makes love painful but without it you will find your ability to see yourself through the eyes of others growing cloudy and murky. He further developed this idea and said once you have a lover and you can love them then you can love your mother, your brother and your friends. Then from there you can love all humanity and from there you can love all creation: the animals, the trees and the planet. If a person is capable of loving one then he is fully capable of loving all. This is truly God consciousness and you cannot know God otherwise. He specifically states that love is the path to God. Embrace the mirror that others see you through and try to befriend your enemies then you will find that you can love all things. Like a cloud full of rain ready to fall upon the earth it doesn't worry about the state of the ground it is falling on it only releases what it is holding. The more love you give, the more love you have and those who dislike you are the perfect people to show love to because if you can love your enemies loving everyone else will become effortless.

A short and to the point Osho talk about love.

Friendship, like love is a lie:

"Even if a teacher explains over many days the meaning of the Prajnaparamita, in a real sense he cannot explain it. The Tantras also state that we cannot explain our real nature (Buddha/Sat-Chit-Ananda)."- Longchenpa 🛕.
