Simple practices that make a difference

The book is a wonderful resource and the One Minute Pause app is a great addition.
It is a good tool for practicing soul care. John delivers another home run on this and I loved that he also recorded the audio.
The additional audio at end of the chapters is also another good reason to pick up this audiobook

Life changing

This book is absolutely wonderful. His voice is so calming. You must get the pause app that goes along with this book. Both have helped me to focus more on Christ and my soul.

Welcomed respite

The topics is timely (when is it not)? John's narration adds poignancy and heft to his words.

John shares his message with powerful visual and auditory references that bring the reader alongside whether on a river, over looking vast open plains, or crisp mountain mornings. He is humble in telling of his own reconnection and resets.

Obviously I needed to read this.I was moved to act... to stop swaths of the daily deluge clamoring for my attention. I carved significant margins into the remaining weeks of this year... and through out the entire year ahead. i opened space to reconnect with my soul more deeply than ever. The reward already outweighs the cost.

Beautiful way of easing us into union with God

I listened to this book just after the Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer and To Hell with the Hustle by Jefferson Bethke. All three come together and blend nicely to help us understand the truth of simplicity, ease and peace as being Jesus's practices and rhythms.
