Wonderful book with one major fault
I wish I could give this book 5 stars, but I just can't. It is read by the author who has a lovely voice. The meditations in each chapter are beautiful. There is much to be gained from this book. DeRosa makes wonderful healing points about life as an empath. So, I was completely surprised in chapter 10 when she goes off on a tangent about systemic racism and white privilege. The definition of racism is making mass judgments about a group of people based solely on the color of their skin. Yet this is EXACTLY what DeRosa does in this section. In a very condescending and scolding tone, she makes multiple blanket statements that all white people are racist toward POC and all are guilty of having privilege. She implies that only white people are racist. While I agree that there is great injustice in the world, shaming a group of people for the color of their skin and blaming them for past things in which they were not involved is NOT going to resolve the issue or move humanity forward. Ironically, in the very next chapter, she discusses dealing with shame in the 3rd chakra AFTER JUST SHAMING ALL WHITE PEOPLE. This section should have been left out of the book. Most people are good and love others no matter their skin color, religion, etc. Racism in the US is over politicized by those in power to divide us. Look around at what is going on in the world. There are way more atrocities due to religious intolerance and civil war than white / black racism ( I'm not saying it doesn't exist). The way this topic was presented put a bruise on the entire book. It should have been discussed differently with less derogatory shaming and blaming of one group of people based on their skin color. I enjoyed the majority of the book and would still recommend it, but the way that topic was handled should be adjusted.

MAGNIFICENT. BRILLIANT, HEALING
Wendy's book is a gift that has affected me on such a deep level. It's wonderfully different. You will want to listen to and refer to it for a long time to come. While Wendy dives deeply into the lower three chakras and the importance of strengthening them for Empaths, there is so much more! The entire book opens up amazing insight and empowerment on so many levels, not just chakras. Her meditations after each chapter provide deep comfort and healing. Feel your energy expand and rest in unconditional self-love as you listen. I am glad I purchased the Audible version, as Wendy's voice is very soothing.
You will not regret this purchase if you are (or know), an Empath.

EXCELLENT!!! very clever
The more I listen to it the MORE I heal. This book is helpful on a DEEP level. It has made me aware of things I "didn't know" because I "couldn't see" about myself and the best part is you don't stay hanging with the knowledge wondering what to do because the author Wendy DeRosa includes amazingly targeted meditations. The meditations are helping me be with myself and become more whole... confident instead of giving away the power that belongs to me. There's a lot to gain from this book regardless of where you are at both inside and outside yourself. I listen to it every chance I get. The author's work is empowering!

Life changing book

Excellent!
The book is great. She has touched on every aspect of the empath’s life and how to heal and maneuver through this life as an empath. Kudos to her for facing racism and the generational trauma that it has caused. To those who complained about this being a part of her book, shame on you. There are those of us who continue to suffer from the impact of racism. Ignoring it doesn’t make it go away. Our world will never heal if we continue to overlook and minimize the suffering of others. Thanks to the author for this gem of a book.
