Captivating and Engrossing Adventure

Claire's growth and reckoning connects to many of my own fears, frustrations and desires. Her close relationships with her family and neighbors makes her even more relatable. Her courage and success, whether intentional or accidental, is inspiring. The Magik and links to Camelot are retold with a satisfying twist and fresh intrigue. Great Character Development

I love getting to know the characters and their relationships and how they grow and change as the story progresses. The struggle of learning that your life is nothing like you believed and accepting a world where everything is possible works great because Claire is mature. This book kept my interest and is definitely bing worthy. As a crone myself I can totally relate.

If you love a mystery and enjoy reading about older characters this book is for you. I enjoyed the narration and laughed outlook so much my family asked what I was doing. A fun and entertaining read. magic abounds.

Finally!!!

Loved the story and narrator! Finally a story with a main character that is real and not 18 or 20...or even 50 but magically made young and spry. Claire is awesome and the story is too. If your tired of kids saving the world you won't regret this read/listen :)

Captivating paranormal coming of age story of a 60 year old woman.

My 1st read of a book by Lydia Hawke. Throughly enjoyed the story, the characters and the paranormal. Looking forward to the next book of Crones.

Creative and oddly believable!

The story is supernatural but truly easy to slip into! You’ll enjoy the wonderfully talented narrator’s voice as you step into the mythical yet real life of Claire, a woman who just wants to be seen as grandmother but winds up as warrior. I loved it. Plan on buying the entire series!

Delightful, Inventive, well Written story!

Great performance of a great, unique, well written story. The characters are fresh and well performed. The dialogue and unfolding of this fascinating story makes it easy to get lost in the characters and plot. Well done, I highly recommend.
