Great Plot — Mixed Narration

“Bad Boy Husband” by Ali Parker weaves together antiquated arranged-marriage ideals, second chances, and a storyline that kept me engaged from start to finish. The plot had an excellent twist, and the background details added a nice layer of depth to the story.

The narration was just okay for me, not great, and at times the narrators pulled me out of the experience. I felt duet-style narration might have brought out more of the emotion and character depth the author was trying to create.

Even so, this was a compelling listen, and it definitely kept me wondering whether these characters would get their happily ever after. You’ll have to read or listen to find out if things work out the second time around.
