Another great one to listen to

I have so much love for this Archer brother. He was everything I thought and then some. His protectiveness knew no bounds, his heart held so much care and love. I devoured this audiobook almost as fast as I did the ebook. Sebastian and Brittany’s performance made an already captivating book next level.

Single Dad Romantic Suspense that Will Keep You Guessing and Give You All the Feels

Catherine Cowles is one of the best at breaking you and putting you back together. This is an emotional journey from start to end, but the two kiddos, Owen and Sky, are always there to bring a little comedy or sweetness to heal the readers heart.

Nova is one of the strongest FMCs that contemporary romance genre has ever seen. The way Catherine approaches women in this series overall is one of my favorite things. Everywhere you look women are in powerful roles and as strong as we all dream to be. It is such an underrated micro trope that I wish more authors incorporated in their stories.

Nova and Kol together is one of the sweetest single dad romances that you did not expect. First, just a moment to recognize how fun it was to have a single dad trope where she was not the nanny. Don’t get me wrong; I will eat up a single dad nanny trope every day, but this was a nice change of pace. I absolutely loved how grumpy Kol was except for her. There’s a part at the beginning where Nova is thinking about how he only likes talking and not being a grump for his daughter, and I was hooked from that moment, seeing he was also that way for her.

Now for the suspense. The EMOTIONS Y’ALL!!!! Catherine wrecks us in this one, and I will just say trust your gut. I definitely had the killer pinned and then I let Catherine convince me that the killer was not them. I feel like it should definitely count as figuring it out though. I also really liked how the mystery was not until later into the book, it kept me on the edge of my seat and played into convincing me that I was wrong (when I was soooo right).

Lastly, WHAT, WWWWHHHHHHAAAAAATTTTT was that little surprise in the Epilogue?! I am going to need Beneath a Midnight Moon right FREAKING NOW!!!!

Great multi-cast narration!

Even though I guessed the culprit and “association” back in the last book, this was still an exciting read. I loved all the romantic and touching family & friendship scenes in this one. CC really does bring it when it comes to writing those touching scenes.
The audiobook was great, and even though there were some volume issues with the mixing, this was a great multi-cast narration. I can’t wait for book 3 in the Starlight Grove series, Beneath a Midnight Moon! Can November get here any faster?

I love the full cast. It's so fun to hear all the voices and they really give life to the story. I am so excited and will be continuing listening to this series as it comes out.
