Frankly, heart melting

The narration really really brings the characters to life, and all the good feels from all that, but this book was so good it almost has no right to be at good. My listening interests float between absolutely devastating and sugary sweet with a common thread of spicy. This story somehow skirts both and is freaking beautiful. It's unique, I think, but still meets all those needs from a great book so you feel good afterwards.

Everything I didn't know I needed.

Lennon and Carter were everything. I was a little concerned with Lennon at first but who doesn't love some light stalking? Especially once you understand the reasoning. Great story and great narration.

Hauntingly Beautiful

So I have a thing for fated mates, without liking the fantasy trope of fated mates. I know, it makes no sense. BUT THIS! It almost reminds me of one of my favourite books, In this and Every Life by Emmy Sanders. The story is not remotely the same, like comparing it is almost incomprehensible….but it pulled on those same heart strings, those strings that feel like they are attached to my soul and it recognises that soul mates are more than just a myth, more than a fictional concept to add meaning to a tale and it’s more than a false promise of belonging. Thank you Jesse H Reign for writing this book, I truly appreciate it. Oh and if it wasn’t obvious, I highly recommend it!

Slow burn but woooaaaahhhh what an ending!!!

I felt like the book was moving slow for the first 1/2 of it, then it started to get interesting and more intimate. The story itself was a little confusing cause there were gaps purposely left to make you wonder what was going on, but I promise you, the ending or at least the last hour of the book explains everything and left me in tears! Never would have expected any of that! Such a wonderful soulmate story!
I agree with others… this gets 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Jesse H Reign always delivers

If you loved this, listen to Unbreak Me by Jesse H Reign. Her hockey books are pretty bland but this book is a great example of the good stuff she writes! Also highly recommend Triple Trouble and the Daddy Arrangement for more kinky and soulful stories!
