But in Adrian's world, peace is not an option.

That doctor is still out there, using his network of mercs to commit unspeakable atrocities. Adrian's eldritch components are fighting to take him over, eager to consume his entire being. And did his new roommate and fellow refugee, the doctor's daughter, really have to be so damn cute?

If there is peace out there somehow, it seems like Adrian will have to claw his way to it.

Too Much Snogging

There is far to much focus on the main character and the love interest making out rather than much of substance happening. Also the romance seems very rushed, the don't spend more than a day together before they start getting flirty. Though they are two sexually repressed teenagers, so that might make sense. Events don't start picking up until right toward the end of the book, and then you get smacked with a cliff hanger.

Cringe teen romance.

Nothing happens for the first 40 chapters. The main characters immediately fall in love for no reason. They then spend most of the book just sitting in an apartment having cringe banter.
This book was narrated well.
