Great considerations for the readers

Well paced and interesting story. The authors make good considerations for readers with differing tastes in this genre.

Great follow up novel.

Definitely appreciate the quickness and the release of the second book. The first book is still fresh in my mind. I read lots of books or in this case and listen to lots of books and Sean Oswald‘s are many of the ones I listen to. Adding the second author, I think changes up some of the things That I may be used to in a typical Sean Oswalt book. All for the better. For more is always better.

Loved! And new fav narrator

Very fun and interesting sequel. Think they do a great job moving the character forward in his progression in stats/abilities but also just fundamentally as a person. Such a unique system while not being totally outta left field. Definitely surprised me a few times, in a good way. Love love Robin. Can’t wait for a driving scene 😂. And the sounds like they’re song things up for a lot of fun mayhem and adventures in the next book! I can’t wait! Also first book took me a second to decide if i liked the what felt like almost over the top narration ultimately i decided it fit the book and went with it. This time knowing what to expect i feel like i appreciated the skill of the narrator even more. Great range of voices, accents. And incredible dynamic inflection and emphasis throughout. I also like the random sound effects thrown in. Song at the end? Actually singing it? Great voice, And idk where/who made up the melody but it was pretty fantastic. Very impressive!!! Really makes them come alive.

I love this. wish. there was more. The readers were epic themselves. I appreciate good readers and the content was valid.

Another great installment

Another great book! So glad Dean is developing into more than just a rage monster. Great narration as well, with one small exception... Look, I know how it's spelled, but it's chitin (kite-tin) man! Kite-tin! :D

Robin is awesome!

I can't wait to see what form Robin gets next time. Dean's Cat-Dino companion is way to cool. Really enjoy the interaction between the Dean and Robin can't get enough of them discussing their battles

Great Continuation

Great accessible way to enjoy book 2. Great continuation of the story. Can’t wait for books 3-13.

A must listen

Yeah this book series is coming along great. The acting scenes are well written. The way that the stats are incorporated is mazing they get their own page and the authors tell you that you don’t need to listen to them because they incorporate them into the story so you don’t miss anything, but for us nerds who like it they can listen if they want. I highly recommend reading or listening which ever you prefer to this series. Oh and a big Thank you to everyone who made this book possible from the author’s to the team’s.

Absolute Gem

I am completely blown away. i found this series some 4 days or so ago and had to keep listening. I first cleared the first book and immediately grabbed this one to continue on. This is somewhat the norm for reading works by these authors. I cant get enough LitRPG and these are some of the best writers in this genre.

Now to get into the actual meat of this review. Robin is easily my favorite character in this story and that became apparent to me within minutes of his introduction in the first book. The MC named Dean has a lot in common personality wise with the Doomslayer certainly in the first book but also largely in this one. I for one love to see that. In this particular installment we get to see some of his backstory. It certainly isn't sunshine and rainbows and somewhat explains Dean's personality. There is a very nice reference in this story to another LitRPG writer's own universe. I cant imagine that just being a coincidence. If I had to list some things I didnt like it would be that the next volume is like a month from release on kindle and who knows how long on Audible. One other minor annoyance is the authors' love of onomatopoeia but that is such a small annoyance it barely felt worth mentioning.

All in all I cant recommend this story and series enough to fans of LitRPG and system fans. If you like a character who will crush all who stand in his way and get knocked around while doing it this is likely the story for you
