The iron-clad Reality of the world will not be denied. Arcanes and humanity continue in an incidental peace, the many true threats to Zeme contained for the moment. Humanity thrives for the time being, as Mages and Archons devote their lives to give their people that chance.

With Kit now soulbound, Tala finds her soul pulled further away from humanity, even as her ties to her people grow stronger. Continuing to plumb the depths of her soul, she comes to truly accept her identity as the Ravenous, Jealous Devourer.

What is hers will not be taken, and what she gives will yield a greater harvest than ever imagined. What she thought she knew will be tested, and Tala must choose how she will spend her resources, where to invest her immortal life.

Yet even immortality does not guarantee eternity, and no human is promised 'forever.' As she navigates the increasing dangers of life on Zeme, she also attracts more attention from those more powerful than she can hope to contest... for now.

I've enjoyed the balance between action and downtime. There are tense scenes in each and the considerations of going through a long term change in mindset are interesting to think on. This lull before what might be a more fast paced book if not set of books is nice.
Regarding the relationship, I believe it is a wonderfully slow build to a meaningful and longlasting connection.

The dismissal I've seen from a few other reviews seems not wholly thought out and a little insulting. I respectfully disagree with their views on this title, though I will state that I totally understand where and why they would feel the way they do.

Overall I like this story and I can't wait to listen to more of this adveture whether it be action packed and exciting or continuing the slow and methodical approach to exploration.

I've enjoyed this series and will continue to do so.

Mullins crushes it again with Voidbound. This series is a must for progression fantasy lovers. The world-building and magic system are top-tier, and Tala’s journey is captivating. It’s got the perfect blend of action and heart, making it a powerful and engaging read. The series is still going strong, and this entry proves it.

Waiting for the next one. I really like the pantherships, this book has hitting on many previous characters and new ones; love that. Just a little POV from the difference perspectives. Hitting on what's going on in their lifes. I love that our mains characters relationship is moving full speed a head. And lastly I love Rain's growth.

Good book, a great slice of life
