What if there was truth to the vampire myth? And what if your fate was bound to that truth?

Desperate to escape her abusive stepbrother, Blaire accepts a scholarship to the exclusive private university, Blackthorn Academy. Surrounded by Vasirian—the root of vampire myth—Blaire fears she has traded one cage for another. She is marked as a Korrena, the fated mate of a Vasirian. While she is attracted to the mysterious Lukas, whose gruff exterior hides a lonely heart, the expected ritual for the bond repels her. No one can guarantee her safety; a match between a Vasirian and a human is unprecedented. If she leaves Blackthorn, she could be killed, yet if she stays, Lukas could unintentionally drain her of life.

Facing danger by stepping into a den of monsters may be the only way for her to truly be free.

Save your credit and listen to something else. This story just keeps going in circles and the same conversations happen over and over. And 19 year old true love between virgins that have never been in relationships before is annoying, hard to listen to, and even cringe worthy at times. The narration was ok but the male narrator spoke to quickly for my taste (I was listening at regular speed and he sounded like 1.5 speed). I originally saw parts of this book on FB and it slightly peaked my interest and I have learned my lesson. I regret my purchase and would not recommend this book and will not be continuing this series!

This goes nowhere! Don’t waist your credit.

Decent and original story. Narrators good. Only complaint is it is dual narration vs duet

Interesting story

I enjoyed this new take on vampire myth and the sincerity applied to the audio of Blaire and Lukas' story. I've read the book, so it was a treat to hear the audio. I wonder about pronunciation of some words as the author is from South Carolina and in the PNW we say those words differently (jewelry for example here in the audio narrative comes out "jewlery"). Well done, clear read, and I hope the other books follow!

Vasirian /Vasarian however you say it

Honestly, I’m a little letdown by this story. There was a lot of potential here. But it just felt kind of bland even though it had all the potential to be super emotional, super angry, super spicy and super dramatic.

Meh
