A brutal attack. An unexpected bond. How far will they go to protect each other when they have everything to lose?

Isaac

I’ve spent my whole life struggling to survive and provide for the people who depend on me. The last thing I need is another person to take care of, but there’s something different about the broken boy on my doorstep.

My protective instincts always get the best of me. But when I take him in, I start to see more than just a victim. I see someone who might just heal me, too. Someone who makes me want to be more than I am. To be worthy.

Tyler

One night is all it takes to shatter my carefully constructed world. The mask I’ve worn for the world is cracked and bruised. My only refuge is the stranger who saved me, who offers me a distraction from reality and gives me space to heal and grow in more ways than one.

When the truth of my attack comes out, the backlash lands Isaac in trouble. But I won’t let him risk everything he’s worked for to keep sheltering me. I’ll sacrifice my future if it means saving his.

Because everything means nothing if we can’t have each other.

I was pulled in like gravity and held in place while I wrapped myself up with these characters. I love and opposites attract storyline but this one upped the ante with all that came along with this. I may have gone to work with less sleep because I was not going to be putting this down.
The raw and real that Rebecca Rathe brings to every single book was making a standing ovation for this one.

standing ovation for this one!

I’ve now read this book with my eye balls and have listened to this book with my ear holes. This is my duel review for both the book and the audio.

Rebecca created another work of art here. She took instalove and pulled at all your heartstrings. She took two characters from two different worlds and made me love them both.

Tyler and Isaac. What a journey these two went on. From the minute their story starts you are pulled in and I found myself rooting for them. Isaac is so hopelessly in love and all he wants to do is give Tyler the world. After Tyler’s accident he goes to stay with Tyler and their lives are forever changed. Isaac is getting his business off the ground and Tyler is figuring out how to move forward.

I loved their spice and connection. Overall great vibes and one that you should check out.

Such a great story! Loved these two!

I first read this when it first released, and I fell in love with Tyler and Isaac. I love reading hurt/comfort. So when the audio became available I knew I needed it. That i wanted to revisit their story. Jake did really well making me feel everything they did. Great narrator.

I read this when it came out and listening to it was just as astounding. These two go through so much unfairness and it got me so frustrated and angry so many times but the HEA was so worth it all.

I LOVE THEM!!!
