Crime Scenes takes you behind the police tape and immerses you in the stories of astonishing crimes from around the world. A town created by Disney, a luxury yacht in the Caribbean, an impenetrable Australian forest, the backstreets of Liverpool and a bungalow in Wales all provide settings for a series of sinister, and at times unbelievable, true crimes.

Where actors are used, their words are closely based on existing documents and research, but may be paraphrased at times and certain lines have been imagined based on our research.

EPISODE 1 - Celebration, Florida.

In 2019, the perfect town has been created for those chasing the American dream but behind the white picket fences and manicured lawns, an unimaginable nightmare is unfolding for one family.

intriguing murder mysteries

The cases are presented in a dramatic way, but hold the listener's or reader's attention. I have heard at least one story before, but these are all well known cases. Interesting and enjoyable read.

Thrilling!

Thrilling storytelling! I enjoyed the use of distinct voices and audio for various characters, and the narrator does an excellent job bringing each setting to life.

Barely Average, Sometimes Amateurish

The narrator's pacing is very slow. I turned the playing speed up 15% to keep things moving a little better. There are actor portrayals and news recordings interspersed throughout the narrative that a have normal pacing. The narrator could be adjusted to a more realistic pace by increasing them 25%, but the other parts would be difficult to understand then. The 15% I used was a compromise.

Regarding those interspersed portrayals and recordings, they are consistent and well below the sound level of the narrator. Finding an acceptable volume setting was another necessary compromise. This, I feel, is a very amateurish mistake. 🧐

In staying on track for a bland, average rating, none of the featured crime stories were anything special. Listen to this while you are doing something else so your time won't be a total loss.

Interesting

It’s a good listen; very detailed and entertaining. It makes you appreciate how the detectives find clues and pay attention to clues we would not even think about. It shows you, there is no perfect crime and evidence are always left behind.
