They say violent delights have violent ends. They'll have to get through me first.
Juliet
My world is small and predictable—that's how I've designed it. It doesn't extend beyond my tiny studio apartment, the local bagel shop, and the bookstore I manage.
So, when a mysterious man crashes into the shop late one night while I'm doing inventory, I should be terrified. But I've never reacted normally to danger. And this man is as dangerous as they come… at least, for my heart.
Romeo
The Mafia is my family—the only thing I've ever known and all I've ever needed.
Until her. Our worlds aren't meant to collide. My life is darkness, and she is light, but I can't stay away any longer.
When her life is in danger, the darkness within me bursts to the forefront. We might be star-crossed lovers, but no one will keep me from my Juliet.
His Juliet is a spicy, dual first-person POV mafia romance with an age gap, hurt/comfort, mental illness rep, and jealous/possessive hero obsessed with his girl. This book is a standalone that ends in an HEA. For mature listeners. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website. Narrated in duet style.

This one had all of the sweetness, charm, and delicious spice of the first, plus that dynamic I adore -a heroine with a health condition, here more mental health focused, and a dark anti-hero that absolutely worships her, accomodates her, and empowers her. Similar frame as the first book in terms of dynamic, so that worked for me. But, sadly, this didn't quite have the same level of character complexity, angsty growth, or chemistry the first did. It also felt a bit long towards the end. I think it was just a bit too much insta-lovey to start so the relationship didn't quite develop as authentically at first. The relationship does deepen, and I appreciated the friends to lovers type dynamic as they do get to know each other. all in all, i still enjoyed it and it delivered on the vibes I wanted (a soft/sweet romance in a dark world), so I gobbled it up. Just didn't quite hit me as much as the first did. The audio, however, is amazing. Fantastic performances, duet style, and beautifully performed. So liked it, didn't love it like the first. But enjoyed it still and excited for more from this world.
