Wow! Super Dark!

Really great but really dark! Interesting how it unravels, I wouldn’t call it a great “romance” at all, but there’s steamy bits for sure. The narrators do an amazing job, and the writing is excellent.

Revenge

The murder of her mother painted her life with the work to find the killer. Wonderful word building between the characters and very intriguing storyline.

Great performance on all characters

The ending of the story the fmcs not communicating her up until the end fighting absolutely everything and just being a insufferable bitch way to long into the book

Stalker v. Stalker

A dark, addictive stalker vs stalker dynamic. Ara is out for revenge after her mother’s murder, and when Luca catches her stalking him, he turns the tables in the most unhinged way. He calls himself a “cinnamon roll,” which is hilarious because he’s only soft for Ara his little stalker and he can’t bring himself to end her, even when he should.
The plot had some expected turns, but I still enjoyed every moment. And the narration? A perfect 10/10. Chloe Ryan and Brandon Francis brought the tension and obsession to life beautifully.

Loved this story and wish it was its own series featuring these characters.

Ara is single minded to the point of obsession on her quest for revenge. So dedicated, she has no fear for her life other than to complete her ultimate goal.

Luca is our dark antihero. Feared by all, he’s a pew pew first, don’t care afterward.

When Luca and Ara meet, I appreciate that it wasn’t instant lust/love on either side. It started with curiosity for Luca and a bit of admiration that led to full on obsession and possessiveness.

Also loved that her crazy and stalking was matched then set 5 tiers higher by Luca.

The twists and turns were good. I was caught between three characters at first on the big bad in the beginning, but they slowly were checked off the list.

I do wish that Ara was a bit more unhinged, as well as showing off more obsessive/possessive traits, but that didn’t really fall with the story line as that would compromise her ultimate goal.

I do see it in her future though, and Luca would absolutely delight in that full on obsession for him. Hence, why I would love to read more of this dark duo. Bring on the crazy!

🎧 Narration was great by both voice actors. Though to no fault of his own, Brandon Francis just sounded a bit young to be 36/38 man. He still did an excellent job. And I loved both his and Chloe Ryan’s voices and delivery.
