Lutz and the girls have finally arrived at the Dragon Isles. While it would be great if they could meet with the Dragon Lord quickly, plans often have a way of getting derailed.

With a Red Dragon as his guide—if you can call someone with such a callous attitude a guide—Lutz makes his way through the dragon's lands, meeting with intelligent dragons from various broods, along with the ones who rule them, the Ancients.

But as isolated as the Dragon Isles are, they too are not immune from threats of invasion. Though whether it's the dragons or invaders who ultimately need help is yet to be seen.

Amazing

Another fantastic book and I can’t wait for the next audiobook to come out. With each book he does a good job developing characters. Also, the different personalities he brings in with the characters. It’s just pure entertainment.

Impatient

I've been enjoying these book for sometime now. I can't wait to hear what happens next. That is if books 10, 11 and 12 ever get to Audible.

Love lutz. Probably one of the best built heroes…

because he doesn’t spout annoying ideals as if just by saying them makes them fact. Also his powers (while overwhelming in some respect) is offset by his personality to match his opponents in strength when he can and break his limits when he cant.
Another great book in the series, all things come to an end but I have to say I miss when he still had animosity towards the world and the goddess.
While not a bad thing, the series evolved from revenge story, the search for companionship, power and purpose. Now it’s still some of that but mostly a slice of life in a fantasy world on the brink of destruction. Still a great listen but those are my thoughts!

Good story, but narrator kept stumbling

The story was very enjoyable. The only issue was that the narrator kept pausing at awkward times and fumbled some words here and there.

Great story, but be warned about the narration

I'm currently on Book 9, so I've given this series a *lot* of time before writing this review. I genuinely enjoy the story, characters, and progression, and I think the series is worth checking out.

Unfortunately, I have a very hard time recommending the audiobook because of the narration.

The narrator has a tendency toward awkward pauses, unusual sentence emphasis, inconsistent pacing, and occasional stumbling over words. Those issues repeatedly pull me out of the story. I actually considered abandoning the series after Book 8—not because I disliked the story, but because I was struggling to continue listening to the narration.

I realize narration is subjective, and plenty of listeners clearly enjoy this performance. If you're considering the series, I would strongly recommend listening to the sample before buying the audiobook.

My rating for the narration: unfortunately very low.**

The story is good enough that I've made it through nine books despite my problems with the narration, which probably says more about how much I enjoy the series than anything else.
