A grumpy sunshine, he falls first, afraid to commit romance by USA Today bestselling author Chelle Bliss about a tattooed bartender and a shy artist.

Brax Gallo didn’t believe in love at first sight. Heck, he never stayed in a relationship long enough to develop any feelings. But one look at the sad girl sitting alone at his bar, and he’s absolutely smitten. He knew in that moment; it’s possible to fall hard and fast.

Iris had always been unlucky with love. After being stood up at the altar two years ago, she had no interest in dating. Her friends convinced her—give dating one more chance. But once again, she’s stood up. The evening wasn’t completely ruined though. The handsome bartender did his best to be the bright spot in her lonely night.

And what started out as a flirty banter leads to something neither of them wanted, but everything they needed.

Want is the second book in the steamy family saga Men of Inked Sinners, featuring protective tattooed heroes, found family vibes, and passionate second chances at love.

Brax and Iris’s romance was a little awkward, a little sweet and yet annoying for me. I grew to like the characters once their initial awkwardness with each other passed and, as always, I loved the well meaning interference of the colorful and supportive Gallo Southside characters. I appreciated the inclusion of Brax’s growing awareness of the danger women face from predatory men and his demonstrative protectiveness of Iris. I liked her transformation from timid and awkward to her growing confidence and openness. Iris’s two besties are responsible for pushing her out of her comfort zone and they succeed but their immaturity and the ick worthy conversations concerning the hero’s genitalia are beneath this author. I would have preferred more character development to inane conversations that don’t advance the plot. Sadly the narration performances of Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh didn’t add to the lukewarm spice factor.

A little awkward, a little sweet, and yet annoying.

I have enjoyed all of the books by this author and enjoy them on both kindle and audible. This series is intertwined with her other series and it is the next generation running the Hook and Hustle. Good to see how the family has grown. Cannot wait for the next book.

Great second book to the series

WANT, Men of Inked Sinners Book 2 by Chelle Bliss
Chelle Bliss always has the ability to have her books seem like a visit with favorite friends! She is one talented lady! This is Brax and Iris’ story. They have an attraction from the start. There is plenty of witty banter, heart, and chemistry. This is 5 stars.
I listened to the audio version of this story and Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh do an excellent job with the narration.

Lance Greenfield should never read this genre or MC romance, he doesn't have the voice for it .

bad audible performance

Brax & Iris: triggers- gambling, loan sharks. this book was just okay for me. it went a little too fast so I didn't really get a connection between the characters. it's an insta romance definitely but there's not a lot of time where the main characters are one on one developing. someone was always there. I absolutely love the Gallo's but I feel like because the Miami Gallo's have such a bigger series connection with several of them set in the same area, it's easier to connect to them. I feel like these Gallo's are new even though technically they aren't. the OG Southside series is shorter than the OG men of inked because there are more kids to get through. so I'm going this series creates more and adds to this side of the Gallo family tree. and yes I felt more connected to Crave because Tate was introduced in one of the Heatwave books.

I expected more.
