Hockey players were never my type.
At least, that’s what I thought—until I met Conor Nilsen. In truth, I didn’t know he was the goalie for the Chicago Falcons when he struck up a conversation the night of my bachelorette party.
He proved he wasn’t just some hot guy looking to score when he helped me get my drunk bridesmaid safely back to our hotel. That’s when he discovered my 30-before-30 bucket list—a list I hadn’t managed to check a single item off.
What was meant to be a night of stargazing turned into so much more. The chemistry between us was undeniable, and after one innocent night together, I started to question everything—especially my upcoming wedding to a man I wasn’t sure loved me.
Fast forward to my wedding day, and just as I’m standing at the altar, Conor bursts through the church doors to object. And now, somehow, I’m his roommate. Yikes.

Loved it!!!
Mr Swoony is the third book in The Nest series. It can be read as a stand alone but for best experience I recommend reading/listening in order.
What to expect :
Strong relationships
Found family
Banter
Spice
Humor
Stop the wedding moment
This audiobook was absolutely brilliant! The multi cast narration brought this story to life. Truly the best way to experience this series!
Connor and Eloise are relationship goals! They are sweet together and supportive. They are adventurous together and so SWOONY!
Connor is a hockey player known for his playboy ways and being a brick wall of a goalie. He’s a nice guy and would help anyone out.
Eloise is an engaged young women who is a people pleaser. Her wedding is coming up fast but is it what she really wants?
One innocent night during a disaster of a bachelorette party Eloise meets Connor and he helps her take care of a friend who drank too much. They talk and laugh, both feeling at easy and things they probably shouldn’t. But the night ends.
Neither of them can stop thinking of the other all week long. The big day comes… will Eliose go through with the wedding? Will Connor move on from the girl he had one innocent and platonic night with???
Narrated in multi cast duet by Connor Crais and Luci Christian Bell with supporting narrators Sean Masters, JF Harding, Troy Duran, Teddy Hamilton, and CJ Bloom

Stop the wedding
Roommates to lovers
Found family
Slow burn 🔥 with tension
This is book #3 in The Nest Series. It follows Conor and Eloise… we get a tiny glimpse at the end of Mr Broody of what might be to come.
I have been impatiently waiting for this book!
Conor is known as a playboy, hockey player, not the type to settle down. He’s a caring and friendly guy.
Eloise is engaged but not sure about her future. There are things she wants to do that she might not get to if she follows through with the wedding.
Conor and Eloise share instant connection and attraction. The chemistry between these too is heavy. The entire cast of characters are lovable and so supportive of each other.

The duet/multicast narration led by Luci Christian Bell (new to me) and Connor Crais as Eloise and Conor was wonderful. CJ Bloom, JF Harding, Sean Masters, Troy Duran, and Teddy Hamilton round out the all-star cast. The audio was lots of fun, easy to listen to, and my favorite of the series so far. Very enjoyable.

The Nest is seriously one of my all-time favorite series. I absolutely love the found family that’s been built with these hockey players—it’s the kind of bond that makes you feel like you’re part of the team too.
I loved the way Connor and Eloise meet and that instant connection between them. And when he storms into her wedding?? I swooned 💕 That moment was everything. I also really appreciated the slow burn and how they didn’t immediately jump into a relationship after she walked away from her wedding. It felt realistic and made their relationship even more meaningful.
Watching Eloise come into her own with Connor by her side was so satisfying. She spent so long making herself small to fit into the life her ex-fiancé wanted, and it was amazing to see her finally shine.
Connor is such a teddy bear and I am completely obsessed with him. The way he embraces Eloise’s bucket list and helps her rediscover herself again… he truly lived up to his title as Mr. Swoony.
🎧 Audiobook Narration: This was narrated in duet style by Connor Crais and Luci Christian Bell, complemented by a full cast, and it was phenomenal. I genuinely don’t think anyone could have brought Connor to life better than Connor Crais—he absolutely nailed it and I couldn’t get enough.
If you love found family hockey romance with heart, healing, and swoon-worthy moments… don’t miss this one.
