This small-town romance series set in the fictional town of Lake Starlight, Alaska, follows the lives of nine orphaned Bailey siblings as they tumble into love. But between the anonymous town gossip blog and their matchmaker grandma, finding their happy-ever-after isn’t always a smooth or straight path.
Included in this collection is:
Lessons from a One-Night Stand (The Baileys, Book 1)
The eldest Bailey, Austin, meets his match after a one-night stand with a mystery woman. Little does he know she’s the new principal of the high school he teaches at.
Advice from a Jilted Bride (The Baileys, Book 2)
Brooklyn Bailey is dumped at the altar but finds solace in the arms of her new neighbor across the hall. But Wyatt isn’t who he says he is, not entirely.
Birth of a Baby Daddy (The Baileys, Book 3)
Rome Bailey has finally returned home and given up his playboy ways to open a new restaurant in town. He could’ve never predicted that the woman he’d spent one night with years before would come looking for him with a baby on her hip.
Operation Bailey Wedding (The Baileys, Book 3.5)
Austin and Holly’s big day is approaching, and all nine siblings are pitching in to help. Like anything with the Baileys, not everything goes according to plan.

Book 2: Brooklyn & Wyatt. Decent slow burn, friends to lovers. MCs are honest about what they want, how they feel, and what they can commit to. Real issues and problems, no useless drama just for the sake of it. Complex MCs and issues. Great world building. Really enjoyed that the Bailey family doesn't do the "don't date my sister. I pretend my sisters aren't sexually active adults. Women shouldn't have no strings attached". This family is the right amount of nosy, protective, and let's MFC act like an adult that can make her own choices (though they are more protective of her due to her being stood up at the alter). An easy read. Might not read this again, but enjoyed it. 5/5 ⭐
Book 3: Rome & Harley. The story is ok. It was hard to get into it when the MFC runs away from MMC after announcing the baby, refusing a conversation. Why would you travel all that way to tell the father if you didn't want to have a conversation, find out if he wants to be involved, and let him meet the baby? With MFC's background, I get why she didn't have high hopes, but she seemed so closed off to the idea of her daughter knowing MMC. She does start to trust, but it felt like she continued to be one foot out the door for much if the story. MMC immediately felt a loss from missing out on so much. Seeing MMC grow up quickly and take responsibility was nice. MCs were complex and grew together, but it was hard to like MFC after she's first shown running away after dropping the news like that. I kinda hate how little the other characters believe in the MMC. Offhand remarks about him sleeping around (almost all Bailey's do that, even MFC isn't opposed to no string attached relationships), some people speculated if MMC would step up to fatherhood, people imply he can't commit to anything or any place (yet he spent a lot of time building his culinary skills). He's 25, at the age most are only starting to figure out who they are and build roots/a future. Plus he went through a major trauma in childhood that forced him to grow up in unique ways only someone who lost parents would grow up. It sucks to see how little people believe in him to be a good father or even a good person. Anyone with half a braincell could figure out his commitment issues are a result of his parents' death and fear to lose a loved one. It adds to the complexity of the MMC and side characters. World building is great. Voice acting is good. 4/5 ⭐
Book 3.5: A fun novella that recaps, progresses MCs from the 3 books, sets up future stories, and has non MCs (but still important) perspective chapters that build on the world. A fun novella that adds to the series, continues HEAs into the next phase, and provides insight on the next books. 5/5 ⭐
Overall, books 1-3.5 are worth the read. Fun, funny, emotional, complex, and appropriate angst. Even though there are common tropes used, these stories feel real enough and unique enough they are not stale. Though they are predictable. This series does a great job demonstrating communication, character growth, supporting others, accepting people, forgiving people who own up to their shortcomings, and calling out bad behavior. No one is perfect in this world, but the characters are perfect together.
Really good world building and books in this series
