You might say my obsession has become a compulsion in the way I need to know everything about Scarlet Laurent.

Even though I've taken a step into the background, I could never look away from my Little Sparrow.

She's a sliver buried under my skin, a constant reminder of her presence with no way to dig it out.

Staying away from her for the last ten years has been a brutal form of torture.

Her time's run out, and when the clock ticks midnight on her twenty-fifth birthday, I'll tie her to me forever.

After all, I can't kidnap what's already mine.

A Twisted Arrangement is a cozy obsession standalone.

I like the book until I got to the epilogue and then I was thinking we already know all this this is all been told to us throughout the book. Maybe it should’ve been the prologue

But I love the book 💜

The epilogue should’ve been at the beginning

Wishing that 10 years ago story line was in the beginning of the book instead of the end. Overall, a great book and story line

Okay, after being disappointed with the first book, I was hesitant about continuing the series but I have to say this was much better! Where the first book tried to hard to be sexy, and failing, (the cigar smoke moments were just gross), this was much better and more realistic in the spice department. It could've been shortened up by a chapter or two, like the first book it was a bit drawn out, and once again a bit of a copycat with another kidnapping of fmc towards the last 25% of the book, but it was still much better. Matthias was as OTT possessive as Damon and even more so! It was entertaining, but some of his methods could've been avoided if he'dhave just had an actual conversation and laid things all out instead of "she'll eventually figure things out on her own"... that got a bit tiresome. I hate miscommunication trope, and this was basically that by omitting pertinent information that Scarlet needed to get a complete picture of his actions and feelings. Bash & Xander continually stick up for Scariet and give Matthias hell for not being upfront and bulldozing over Scarlet. Damon & Misty make their appearances, also warning Matthias about how he's going about things and they are included in the HEA of Scarlet's pregnancy announcement, where Misty also announces her and Damon are adopting a baby boy (hoping we get an IVF Surrogate for them in future epilogues). The Epilogue jumps to Matthias & Scarlet already having 3 children and her expecting their 4th, so we assume it's been around 5 yrs since the story ended, it isn't made clear. Then it gets really funky when we jump back in time to 10 years ago (from where the story began) and it's disjointed. That part should have been at the very beginning of their story, no one does an Epilogue for future events and then Prolog afterwards, make it make sense! Anyway, I'm now curious about Bash and Xander, hopefully each book in the series continues to improve.

4.5 stars Matthias & Scarlet
