This man would take anyone down for her. She didn’t know she met the best thing her life needed or wanted the day they bumped into each other. He tried to protect her from everything in his life, but in the end of it all, his life was the same as the one she should have grown up in.

I absolutely loved this book. I definitely want to read the next book bc I think it’s going to be Matt’s story. And that one should most definitely be fun!!

Savage Temptation is book one in the Lords of the Commission New York series, and it’s a darkly seductive ride. Stephanie Amaral blends Mafia grit with romance and vulnerability, creating a story that’s equal parts dangerous and intoxicating. At its heart, this is a tale of opposites colliding Jamie, seeking a clean slate, and Liam, a powerful man with shadows too heavy to ignore. Their story simmers with tension, longing, and passion, while the Mafia backdrop adds just enough intrigue to keep the stakes high. For me, the first half felt a little repetitive with the constant push and pull between Jamie and Liam it slowed the pacing at times. But once the second half hit, the story found its rhythm: the emotions deepened, the drama escalated, and the romance burned brighter. By the end, I was completely hooked and couldn’t stop listening.

The Story

Jamie moves to New York in search of a fresh start, but instead finds herself colliding literally with Liam, a dangerously magnetic man tied to the underworld. What begins as an unwanted encounter soon spirals into something far more intense, with Liam pulling Jamie into his orbit despite his best intentions to keep her away. Their chemistry is undeniable, their connection electric, but secrets, lies, and Liam’s darkness threaten to consume them both. This is a love story built on defiance and desire, with Mafia politics simmering in the background and a romance that refuses to be denied.

While the first half circled a bit too much in the back-and-forth between Liam and Jamie, the payoff in the second half made it worth it. Stephanie Amaral has won me over completely with this book I’m obsessed and already eager for Bound by Deception (book two). If you’re looking for a Mafia romance that’s equal parts dark temptation and heartfelt passion, Savage Temptation will not disappoint.

New author and Narrators for me.

I felt it started slow. When it came together to made sense. The last few chapters were full on with suspense and the pace picked up.

I am looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Woooooo let me tell you! The audio in this book is absolute perfection! The pronunciation of last names, while I read them completely different, had me melting. The narrator’s did a FANTASTIC job bringing this story to life! The passionate and sad scenes had so much emotion involved you could feel the connection. I am so excited for this whole series. Stephanie’s writing is full of detail, bringing to life what life in the mafia is like. Chapter 23 and 24 did me in! 🥵
The plot twists kept coming and I never knew which way things were going to go. She kept me on my toes the entire time!

♡This was my first read by Stephanie Amaral & I enjoyed it! The beginning was slow but once it picked up I didn't want to stop listening. I'm a sucker for a m@fia trope & possessive MMC's make me melt! I loved the banter, the tension was super high, & the spice was spicy! The ending had me super excited to continue this series!

The duet narration for this audiobook was amazing! Theo & Maddi did an amazing job bringing Liam & Jamie to life!

The FMC was way too immature and played the poor little victim that nobody loves her sh is just a nobody all the time through most of the book! This book could have been shortened by half if they would have edited the poor pitiful me inner dialogue

Holy hell, Savage Temptation was an amazing listen with Madison Mitts and Theodore Zephyr to bring it to life. I love that this audio was performed in duet, it makes the audio book even better. Do you like enemies to lovers? Work place romance? Mafia? Forced Proximity? Then you absolutely need Savage Temptation in your ear holes. This book had me all over the place, in the best possible way. I loved how our MMC Liam was such a dominant gruff man (Theodore Zephyr voice has me melting). Was he an architect or was he in the mafia? And Jamie, was just the sweetest girl, who had a crap past. She came to New York to get away from her past to make her own way. Savage Temptation had so many twists that surprised me at each turn. And the best part is that this is book 1 of 6 in the Lords of Commission series.

We are back with another audiobook review. So I had an absolute fantastic time listening to this. This was my first time listening to Theodore Zephyr and Madison Mitts. I actually have several audiobooks where they are the narrators and I was actually gonna listen to one called Myers, which is a retailing of the Halloween movie. Where they are the narrators in it and whenever I got this audiobook from blue nose I was like I’m gonna take a minute let me listen to this from bluenose and then I’ll go into Myers and I’m even more excited now for Myers now that I’ve listened to Theo and Madison beforehand because they did such an absolute amazing job with this book. If you don’t know, savage temptation is a dark mafia romance. Dark mafia is one of my absolute favorite tropes when it comes to dark romance, I will read any both as a dark mafia romance. I don’t care what it’s about if it says dark mafia, I’m reading it. This is the first book in the Lords of the commission series. There is a prequel, but you can only listen to it on the Blue Nose AUDIO app, but it is called from dust to don. Again, I had an absolute fantastic time. I loved Theo and Madison in this. I can’t wait to listen to more books with them being the narrators. I’ve been following them even before I was an audiobook listener I had loved watching their videos that they do together on TikTok and Instagram so now I have finally listened to one of their audiobooks. I’m more excited to listen to more audiobooks with them.
