Not Bad

Storyline was interesting; however, the story was a bit slow-going. Love Aiden’s voice; both narrators did a great job! 👏🏾

The emotional trauma of the MMC! It’s not the FMC! Yes!

James is an onion! He needs his layers stripped away. It takes her several years to show him how she needs to be loved, but like any man - he doesn’t hear her until she leaves. I would have loved more spice but it didn’t fit in with the plot and it was still a great book!

slow burn, and so good

this is such a slow burn but so good. an emotional and sweet story. a lot of character growth and development throughout. not a lot of spicy scenes, but just what I was looking for at this time. a new author to me and I'll be reading more from them. narrators are two of my favorites and I really enjoyed this one.

Aiden and CJ are the best team

loved the narrators. love them separately but having them together really made the story that much better.

I was completely hooked on the storyline. It was exactly what I needed to read, with everything I love. From the moment Clarissa's father made his dying request to James, the tension and emotions were palpable. I appreciated how the author portrayed the conflict between James' devotion to protecting Clarissa and their undeniable attraction.

The chemistry between Clarissa and James was electric, and I found myself rooting for them to overcome all obstacles. Their love story was beautifully written, and I couldn't help but get lost in their world.

What stood out to me the most was the author's ability to delve into James' inner demons. It added an extra layer of complexity to the story and kept me on the edge of my seat. I was genuinely worried that his past would come back to haunt him and potentially destroy their future.

🎧The narration was excellent. JC Bloom never disappoints. I love the emotion she brings to each character. As for Aiden Snow, he can read to me anytime. His voice is what dreams are made of!

Overall, this book was a delightful surprise. The author's writing style and the way she crafted the characters were absolutely fascinating. If you enjoy a marriage of convenience and complicated relationships with a touch of angst, then this is the book to read.
