Oliver Chase only has two things going for him; an addiction to dating sim RPGs and a spotty mental health history.

Stuck working a dead-end job, another lonely Valentine's Day passes Oliver by. There's a coworker he's kind of into, but irl flirting isn't as easy as choosing the right dialog option and clicking a button, sadly... but what if it was? After a lonely night jackin' it under the influence of Special Californian Gummies™, Oliver awakens to what appears to be a complete psychotic breakdown. System notifications, menus, stats, and so much more RPG crap gets injected into his life faster than you can say, 'I Can't Believe It's Not Schizophrenia'.

Even crazier, Oliver starts earning 'Love Points' through having romantic interactions with certain girls, which can then be spent on skills ranging from passive buffs to reality-warping insanity. He wants to make the most of these new powers, but he won't earn enough to do so if he isn't working multiple angles, and between his chill coworker, his evil boss, and the girl who ruined his life? Well...

Good guidance but graphic

Awesome story, and obviously over the top with Fantasy Harem tropes but MC does have realistic development scenarios. Makes me reflect at my life and remember all the times I fumbled in the same ways. It does get a bit graphic and the females become less realistic as the story goes on (the most unrealistic being one of the side ladies apologizing and taking accountability for her previous actions.)
Great voice acting, altho I hear more Russian then Latina in the accent, but it was great. MC voice actor was great.
Again, end of the book is GRAPHIC or I would pass this along to my son. Grown fokes only!

Favorite book this year

What an awesome story the premise is awesome, so unique and fresh. The amount of world building is amazingly well done. I can not wait till the next one.

Shockingly good

I didn't expect this to be so good from the story to the well written characters I would definitely give this a shot.

Took a leap of faith, that was well rewarded

The evolution of the main character, as well as the growing world in which he resides never seemed dry or played out. Humor was well paced and the premise was a nice change of pace for the LitRPG genre as a whole. Definitely counting down to the next one

Comforting Relationships

Loved Erin Bateman as the narrator and female vocals while having Alfie Syme do the male vocals. Personally think more books should follow that pattern.

With game like abilities the MC takes time and thought in his decisions. He is a people pleaser but the more you learn about him the better you understand. He isn’t just a pushover however.

There is a lot of character depth and growth along with working through traumas.

All in all. This is a very cozy slice of life with caring characters but the powers to mold reality.
