The story continues and we follow along. Todd is off to unblock the rest of the lay lines in order to free the rest of the Nexus power.

Very entertaining!

Much of the story feels like it wants to be noir a la Batman, but it comes off a bit trite instead. Maybe like the author was rushed. Odd disjointed uses of story tense for a long quest arc with a very different feel from the rest of the story. Then it ends abruptly.

pros:
character development and potential

cons:
fight scenes seem like cliff note version. I really wanted to know what was going on.

with gaining more aspects it would be easy to grow his skills and see some pretty interesting outcomes.

it really feels like the author became jaded after the first book and phoned in this one with a bunch of fluff, good team vibes, and a half thought out story. this was so bad I cant justify buying the third book which is only 5hrs long

A complete letdown
