Really enjoyed this

Thanks to the performance of Hayden Hall and Jameson Adams I found myself enjoying "Stealing Home" more than I thought I would. The author Kimberly Carrillo and both performers are all new to me so this made my experience with this book all the more enjoyable and made me curious of the other characters from prior books. I particularly enjoyed the spice level and that it it a reverse gap romance 🙂. I absolutely adored the ending!

Fast. Entertaining. Rushed.

I absolutely flew through this book. It was one of those stories that was easy to pick up and hard to put down because the pacing kept me engaged from the very beginning. The writing flowed well, the characters were likable, and there was enough emotion and drama to keep me turning the pages. Even when I knew where the story was heading, I still wanted to see how everything would play out. It was an entertaining read, and I never found myself bored, which is always a huge plus.

That being said, the biggest thing that held this book back for me was the insta-love. If you've read any of my reviews, you already know this is one of my biggest struggles in romance books. I love watching two people slowly fall for each other, building trust, chemistry, and emotional intimacy along the way. Here, the feelings developed so quickly that I never fully believed them. I wanted more longing, more tension, and more moments that showed why these two belonged together instead of simply being told they were in love. Because of that, I never became as emotionally invested in the romance as I wanted to be.

Overall, I still enjoyed my time with Stealing Home. It's a quick, entertaining read that kept me hooked from beginning to end, and I can definitely understand why so many readers enjoy it. It just wasn't the type of romance that completely won me over. If the relationship had been given more time to grow naturally, I think this easily could have been a four or even five-star read for me. Instead, it lands at a solid 3 stars an enjoyable story that I devoured, but one that left me wanting a deeper emotional journey.
