Publisher's summary

Playing with fire gets you hot, but playing with a fireman gets you wet.

Fighting wildfires is dangerous as hell, but it's still the best damn job in the world. And women? They practically line up to slide down my pole. I never did like repeating myself. Not since she broke my heart into a thousand pieces, anyway.

Clementine's that ex. The one I haven't seen in eight years. The one I thought I was going to marry until she dumped my ass while I was on active duty in Afghanistan. The one who's suddenly next door when my crew has a few days off in her tiny town, and who's impossible to ignore.

I've already gotten burned once. Hunter and I were over a long, long time ago, and there was a good reason why. Actually, there were a hundred good reasons, and I remember them all. Until he shows up in my town, eight years older and 10 times hotter. He's left the Marines to become a wildlands firefighter. He's rugged, hardened, dangerous, and he looks at me just like he used to. He makes me laugh just like he used to. But I know better than to think that people like Hunter change. I don't care how badly I want him, I'm not going down that road again.

Contains mature themes.

5 stars for aiden snow

I only decided to listen to this because of aiden. He did a great job, as per usual. The plot, however, is...meh. 10 hours of nothing but misunderstanding. All their drama is because they don't communicate. It was acceptable when they were teenagers, but 8 years after they're still both insecure af. And the female narrator, while she has a good voice, narrates like an AI. This drama would've been better as a short story.

Pretty Good

I enjoyed this book..but it was not my favorite my Roxie.
I had some issues with Hunter. He comes across a little too cocky for my taste. And women literally throw themselves at him non-stop. And he allows a lot of flirting that was off-putting to me. He asks Clementine for a second chance and she asks for a couple of days and she comes home to find him with another woman on his shoulders. (Innocent - But still, off putting)
The book is well written. And there were things to like about both Hunter and Clementine. Their story just didn't have me on the edge of my seat. But it was not a bad book. The narrators were great.

Wonderful Story!l

Living in Arizona I have a great respect for the "Hot Shot" firefighters. This book does a wonderful job at giving great insight into that profession as well as being a super sweet & sexy love story. Roxie Noir is an author whom I read and listen to. The narrators both did an excellent job by putting a lot of feeling and emotion into their performances. The style of narration is the dual narration (POV chapters) which was very well done. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I will definitely listen to this book again and highly recommend it! Aiden Snow has a wonderful voice that I so enjoy. Kasha Kensington was new for me, and I would listen to her again. This book is totally original and well worth a credit.

2nd chance romance. 1POV HEA. Standalone

This is a sizzling romance with a firefighter in a small town. I wish there was more info on their HEA but it was a good listen.

I only bought this bc of the narrator Aiden Snow- it wasn’t enough

This is a pretty dumb story. Aiden Snow is vey good but having the female narrator doing his part ruined it. She sounded like a 5th grader.
I don’t like all the crude language and swearing. Just bc it’s sexy it doesn’t have to be so skanky. It doesn’t have much quality.

One word Aiden

Would love more of his voice - but his deep sexy voice added to the story and kept me interested. I love the easy way the couple reunited and found love. Good read!

Sweet Second Chance Story

Would you listen to Torch again? Why?

Probably Not. It was the sort of story that one listen is enough.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Torch?

The Look out cabin with the Mountain Lion.

What three words best describe Kasha Kensington and Aiden Snow ’s voice?

This will take more than 3 words. First Aiden Snow's voice is perfect. He keeps you engaged in the story and his voice is sexy helping keep the interest. However, Kasha Kensington has a horrible speaking voice. Everytime she speaks it's like nails on a black board. She needs to listen to herself speak and see how annoying she is. The way she ends her sentences constantly pulls you out of the story. If it wasn't for Mr. Snow's part of the book I more than likely would have stopped listening.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Hunter's Boss talked to him through the time they had to deploy to stay alive.
