Cassie has secrets of her own, though, so she’s initially reluctant to get involved. Torn between the urge to protect herself and the desire to investigate further, she decides on the latter.

And the consequences could be deadly.

A realistic suspense

I enjoyed it as a free listen in the audible plus category and am interested to see what else the author has written! Narrator was great,

great story, didn't like the narrator

the story was good and was able to focus on that vs the narrator who I wasn't fond of.

standard thriller

This has everything that makes up a semi-spicy thriller. It has an affair, murder, a hot cop, and a lonely single teacher. Quick and easy

Definitely unexpected

This was a well written and well narrated book that kept me engaged from beginning to end.

Pretty good read

I think the author had an interesting story to tell and gave the main character an unusual history. It was pretty good.
