Narrated by: Michelle Shure

Jewel of Inanna, an award-winning urban fantasy book, draws you into the supernatural world of the New Orleans French Quarter. It's the story of Lilly LaCouer, a young musician with a secret bloodline.

After a harrowing escape from her abusive husband, Lilly finds refuge with Panthea's Coven, a group of mystical witches in the New Orleans French Quarter. While learning the secrets of magick, performing rituals, and opening to visionary experiences, Lilly discovers her ancestry and power.

Believing herself to be new to magick, Lilly is overwhelmed when she is named the guardian of an ancient Sumerian crystal, the powerful Jewel of Inanna. Focused on her magickal studies and guardianship of the crystal, Lilly tries and fails to resist falling in love. Her life overflows with love and magick.

Unknown to her, others in the French Quarter envy her magickal life and covet the Jewel of Inanna. One dozen roses and one short message send Lilly's life spinning out of control. She is betrayed, abducted, and tortured. Can all the magick in the French Quarter return her to the life she loved and her guardianship of the Jewel of Inanna?

From the ritual temple of Panthea's Coven, to the attic chamber of a dark sorceress, to the peristyle of the Vodou mambo, to the hidden depths of an ancient pyramid, the Jewel of Inanna is filled with ritual magick, enchantments, romance, sorcery, ancient wisdom, rock n' roll, and a cast of lovable characters. Jewel of Inanna is part novel, part initiation, and 100 percent entertaining.

Could have..

Could have been better. Great job building oneself up, to add in "this is the only way", religion, politics, culture etc... is not needed. Just happiness, love and joy to overcome anything. Narration was ok.
