Reseñas de la Crítica

"Knightmare Arcanist by Shami Stovall was rollicking good fun! Perfect for those who enjoy the Codex Alera series, the Homas Wildus series and the Harry Potter series. Stovall is quickly becoming a name I look for." (Seattle Book Review)

"Dread Pirate Arcanist was everything I had hoped it would be, and then some." (Coffee Pot Book Club)

"Building on the fantastic story and characters of the previous installments, Coliseum Arcanist is a brilliant continuation of the Frith Chronicles as well as a triumph in its own right." (ManyBooks)

THIS IS A MUST READ

One of the best fantasy series I have ever read perfectly written and masterfully narrated I have listened to the whole series 5 times now and it just keeps getting better!! do yourself a favor and download this book

Amazing Books!

the storyline keeps you on your toes and leaves no loopholes. Very well thought out and the voice acting is like none other. I couldn't stop listening. ❤️

A wonderful young adult adventure

The main character is a young gravedigger apprentice. His parents are long gone, one was a thief, the other a murderer. More than anything else, he wants to be an arcanist -- one bonded to a magical creature.

The main characters are likeable, the villains are annoying but not disastrously so, the magic is fun and magical, the action is fast paced. As I went through it, I thought I saw the arc of the whole series shaping up ... but instead, I only saw where the first book was going. That's all a good set-up for the second book, and then the third book. The action is consistently well done -- but there's a bit of YA convenience about various plots. Still, I enjoyed it.

Highly recommended.

I enjoy character growth

As someone who's already read the whole series. Time does move and characters grow. I enjoyed the books more as the characters grew from children to adults. The narrator does a beautiful job of bringing the characters to life. I love this series! I can't wait to learn more about this beautiful world.

Huh...

it's a really good book, but I have so many issues with the choices the hero takes. there are so many things he could have done differently and gotten better outcomes.
