A decent value for 5 books, but they aren't good

PROS:
▪︎A lot of content for 1 credit
▪︎Decent narrator
▪︎Interesting concept
▪︎Stat sheets are separate chapters and easy to skip

CONS:
▪︎Stat sheets are everywhere and in the middle of events making them like obnoxious ad breaks
▪︎Every character is practically the exact same, same personality, same acceptance, similar word selection, they are all the same person.
▪︎No internal logic or consistency, sets up a limitation for 4 books and then protagonist ex-machinas a solution in a chapter. Conversely, character has an established ability and then a limitation is shoe-horned in for extra "drama" out of nowhere.
▪︎Writer is afraid of dialogue let alone character development
▪︎Fights are boring spending a long time describing every monster in excruciating detail for every single encounter in every single fight (especially the later in the series you get)
▪︎Whenever something interesting is introduced, especially if it would involve character development, we switch perspective characters or have a massive time-skip and never have to deal with it again.
▪︎Protagonist is a panzy, at first its a revenge story but suddenly he wants the weaker humans and dungeons to be on equal footing to find balance and harmony without killing any dungeons or even fighting except in self-defense. This is dumb, he is dumb.
▪︎Probably more I forgot, but this book almost bored me to sleep so this is the best I can do.

SUMMARY:
Get it if you've already listened to everything else decent and the relistened to them until they get boring and you need something else. The first couple books are decent, but it just gets worse and worse. Don't expect much and you still might be disappointed. I don't regret the purchase, but I'll probably never suffer through this again.

this might be the series fir you if you like the constant description of fights. i loved the first 2 books. 3rd was good, 4th started the turn and I really struggled with the 5th. I am sure this will be great for some!

the story line

I liked all the different characters! Dislike was some of the jumping to a different character with no warning at times

I want to hear more from this story also Station Cores was really good iv bought both box set and at end of em tbh I was little sad it was over I hope to hear more from these sets. if you haven't traveled down either of these roads your so missing out.
