The complete K'Barthan series box set: All four novels in one huge audiobook

All The Pan of Hamgee wants is a quiet life.

So why did he have to fall in love with a woman living a different version of reality, upset a murderous tyrant, and then run out of places to hide?

Now all he has to do is face his inner demons, rescue everything he holds dear, and save the world, or die trying.

Oh yes, and he's an abject coward.

Great. No pressure then.

Contains a little light swearing.

Suggested cinema rating: PG

A word with the author

Q - What made you write the K'Barthan series? Why is it special?

A - You know the saying: that if the book you want doesn't exist you have to write it? That. I love funny British authors, comedic sci fi, epic fantasy, adventure, action, humour - or humor. Misfit characters are great, the weirder the better and an evil baddie, of course. This stuff is a mash up of everything I love: James Bond-style flying cars, car chases, static powered laser guns, portals that move you from one place to another and a hero we can all cheer for. K'Barth is kind of first contact, only not. There are many quirky characters, from 6ft Swamp Things with antennae to cute furry Blurpons with fluffy ears, big button eyes and penchant for extreme violence. It's earth but hey, reality is a bit boring so I pimped it and set it in a parallel reality. Even so, the eternal questions the characters in K'Barth face tend to mirror ours.

Q - What are the other books in K'Barthan Series?

There is a 30 minute short prequel, Unlucky Dip, and a series of shorts "K'Barthan Shorts", "Hamgeean Misfit".

This series was a lot of fun. Lots of drama and turns and not too much frustration. Real problems, not just created by characters. And the characters themselves are generally deeper and dynamic, not a lot of dull or flat, one-sided characters. And the naming had me constantly cracking up. Fun read.

Thoroughly enjoyed

Great story, although the main character was at times a little slow on the uptick. Excellent narration.

very enjoyable

I loved this book and especially its narration. It was a long novel, but it went so fast. I couldn't wait to pick it up again after I grudgingly put it down the day before. Awesome read!!!

Great story!

Fantastic narration, fun and interesting story. I was hoping for something light but....intelligent to eat up some hours.....this hit the mark.

Lots of fun.....all this for 1 credit?? Yes!

This is written in British English. It took me until book 2 to figure out what was going on. Still an enjoyable story. If you don’t have anxiety, this is a written version of being anxious.

Hard for an American but still enjoyable
