Well then...Hostile taker over it is...
Give me a solid mafia romance any day! Add in a stand alone series with characters from the other stories within and I'm hooked! I do prefer having a male and female narration but truly this performance is solid! Francesca and Michael are an interesting match. Both doomed by their heritages but never giving up! Definitely a solid read/listen!

Mafia romance at its best
I enjoyed this like I did book one, even better I would say. Primarily cause the story didn't feel as rushed and the end was longer with more detail. MCs are both enjoyable and Michael is just sexy. Can be a trigger for Sexual assault so please know that going in, this is a dark Mafia romance so so expect all hearts and flowers. Jack Calihan kicked ass narrating, his deep voice is perfect for this type of character!

Not thrilled with Bimbo female character...
Struggled to finish...seems that is the case with almost all of the books by Piper that I have read and/or listened to. Not inclined to invest more time in her books when the female characters are all written as "Bimbo's".
Not sure how a woman can be angry at a "dominating" man that she is attracted to yet when he moves close to her or she can smell his "masculine scent" she loses all track of thought and becomes a bimbo?!?!? Ahhh....oh...Michael....etc.
If you are into this type of character along with a broody, dominant male, then you would probably enjoy Piper's books.
Jack does an ok job narrating, but I do not find his female character voices and sounds to be enjoyable. He does have a very deep voice that sounds great, but not doing both the male and female roles. I am sure there are better books suited for him or there should be a female actor to perform the female portions of the books he narrates.

A definite listen.
great book. loved Jack Callahan he did amazing job voicing Michael love his deep rough voice!! My only complaint is how abruptly the book seemed to end. It left me wanting more.

Amazing Story!
All I can say is Wow! This was a fantastic joy ride. The story was so well written full of suspense, twists and thrills. Hats off to Piper Stone for an incredible story about two broken people from mafia families and how they came together, under unique circumstances, tore down each others walls to find love and trust in each other. The struggle was Real because the hero, Michael is a Dom trying to get a mafia princess Francesa to obey. Boy, did she give him hell with her tenacity. I loved this heroine! The narrator, Jack Calihan was off the charts incredible! His voice had me hook line and sinker for this story. Jack did every characters' voice distinctly and expertly not missing a beat. The sexy scenes in this Audible were scorchers!🔥🔥🔥🔥 Piper knows her Doms! The first sexy scene after her capture though, really disturbed me because he literally raped her. I found it troubling, but I wanted to see how the book would end so I preserved and was happy for the HEA. Warning for anyone with triggers but overall it was a really great roller coaster ride story for dark romance lovers.

Taken As Collateral
Taken As Collateral by Piper Stone and narrated by Jack Callihan was e memoriable dark mafia book. The narration wad great.
