Action and suspense

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Once again Piper Stone has written a captivating dark romance filled with mystery, suspense, action, seemingly hopeless resolution, and hot kinky sex. I like how Harper sees Stone as a killer but after looking carefully at the evidence she begins to rethink her conclusions. Stone is a desperate man on the run as he tries to prove himself innocent. Richard Reynolds is a new narrator to me that will have your attention throughout the story. He gives the characters distinctive voices and brings them to life. His voice portrays the emotions and personalities of these characters. I highly recommend this Audible book for fans of dark romance.

OMG!!!!

Piper does it again! I got sucked into this story and could NOT stop listening!! It's a dark romance with ups and downs and twists and turns!!! All the feels! And the characters were wonderfully done! And Richard Reynolds was awesome with the narration! I do not know if I've heard him before or not but I will be looking for him from now on!
I did request this free audiobook and am giving an honest review voluntarily!!!

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Intense

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. Piper Stone is a gifted author and a master at writing dark romance stories that are dark and twisted and this is no exception. This is my 3rd or 4th book by her but I think this one is my favorites, ok maybe they all are. Harper, the lead female and bad ass bounty hunter does not step down from a challenge, she took a high paying job knowing the fugitive was ex-military and law enforcement, basically well trained. But the pay will be so worth it, she lined up everything ahead of time to make sure her mission goes smoothly. Brax Marks aka Stone jumped bail because he knows he is innocent and is being framed, he just does not know by who, he has his suspicions though. He could not turn to anyone for help because he thinks the corruption goes deep, not just in the ranks of the DEA, whom he was working deep undercover for, but even higher. He has history with Harper and when she captures him he goes with her willingly. But he winds up getting the upper hand, until she gains it back again. Harper has not only street smarts but as former FBI she has experience with working investigations. And when things start to happen that do not add up it raises a flag and she starts to listen and believe Stone. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is well plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot romance with a side of kink. Piper Stone, thank you for another awesome story!

Richard Reynolds is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them with their emotions and personality, as well as heart and attitude. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Piper Stone has done it again this is definitely a keeper The results ofthis story where stunning this story packed a punch what a tantalizing tingling sizzling hot with some action there was a heart pounding love story between too amazing characters. 💖

Not just dark but VERY dark!

This story begins SO dark it can be off-putting but for those who persist it's well worth the trip. The passion between Harper and Stone builds slowly and I was wondering if we'd ever get to the truth of what happened but following it to the exciting climax is a wild ride you won't soon forget.

Poor narration

This seems like a good story, but I couldn’t get through the second chapter. The narrators voices were all over the place, and his female voice was terrible. Too distracting to continue.

The worst narrator

I couldn’t even make it through the book. The narrator made it impossible! Wast of a credit

Wannabe Bad Guy with a Physicist's voice

The story is probably pretty good, since I usually enjoy the writer's efforts, but the narrator is just so wrong, that it makes it impossible to plow through.
Sorry, but this is a hard pass...
