Romantic suspense and hockey?! Yes please!!

Moonlighter by Sarina Bowen was a fantastic sports romance paired with romantic suspense. I couldn't get enough of Eric and Alex's story. I also liked that these characters were childhood friends who just happened to to cross paths and need each other again years later! Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers narrate this audio.

Alexandra "Alex" has grown up privileged, but has worked her up and earned her right to take over her father's tech company. However, she has entrusted Eric's dad's security team to assist her because there seems to be some ulterior motives when it comes to Alex and her work. Eric is a hockey player for the Brooklyn Bruisers and has been been volunteered to escort Alex to an upcoming tech convention in Hawaii. When these two childhood friends reunite, the chemistry is off the charts hot!

Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers narrate the audio. I think this is the first time I've heard these two paired together, and I really enjoyed their performances. Lucy does a great job of conveying all of Alex's strong, independent, and adamant personality. I also loved the way she portrayed her vulnerable side too. Jason conveys all of Eric's headstrong, protective, and sarcastic personality so well! Jason is always a one click for me!

Overall, I really enjoyed this audiobook! I'm looking forward to more from Sarina Bowen!

this book had it all! romance, mystery, excitement, good characters, bad actors, intelligent women all in a great hockey environment. thank you Sarina Bowen! Great narration too!

I'm invested in Sarina Bowen's universe

I'm invested in all of the characters in Sarina Bowen's universe at this point, so I enjoy each book as I read the various Brooklyn Hockey related series/spinoffs. I do enjoy the love stories & the ongoing interactions between past & future characters. I'm all in.

This one is an interesting story & slightly different from the Hockey stories, but I still like it.

Nerd meets hottie!!

**Audiobook Review**

Alex and Eric made an adorable couple...eventually!! I really enjoyed the overall story, but felt like it ended very abruptly. I wish there was an epilogue to explain what happened with Alex’s situation. Much off the story was focused on this and then...nothing. I loved Jason Clarke as the narrator for Eric and despite other reviews, I enjoyed Lucy Rivers as Alex. She fit Alex’s age and personality. Definitely worth a credit!

Came for the hockey romance and stayed for the suspense.

What a story! I enjoy Sarina’s books immensely. I get the characters and I love the world of the Bruisers. This book was different in the sense that there was some suspense.

Let’s backtrack, we got a reunited friends to lovers couple with a side story of a pregnant heroine. I know, but wait there’s more!

Eric is a hockey player whose family has a security firm and needs him to get close with long time family friend Alex. In Hawaii.

There’s so much more to this. Twists. Plots. Characters. I’m loving this intro to The Company series.

Lucy Rivers and Jason Clarke are incredible. Lucy’s Alex voice is perfection. Jason’s Eric is great. I wasn’t looking for this book, but I’m glad I found it.
