Eichard, an organic farmer from Repreter, has one last haul of horch to sell at the Tri-Star System Farmer's Market. His retirement plan includes the installation of NanoDream Electronic's shipbrain Electra Five-Seven-Niner, the world's first of its kind. When he is boarded by pirates in the middle of the Lawless Zone, the memory of his dead daughter haunts him, and the pirates get more than they'd bargained for.

I was all-in with Sparkle Ship Shine, the first book in the Tri-Star System series. All of these stories are very short so sometimes it's not easy to pack a hard enough punch. But Sparkle Ship Shine did that, and I had high hopes for The Farmer's Daughter.

For me, The Farmer's Daughter was pretty good, but just didn't have that same creep factor as its predecessor (though the ending definitely cranked it up to 11). It was loosely connected to Sparkle Ship Shine through the psychotic ship A.I., which was one of the best parts in the first book. The writing was crisp, moved along at a great pace, and kept me interested. I think because this was a different kind of story than Sparkle Ship Shine is why I just didn't love it as much.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and thought Justin Thomas James did an excellent job narrating it. He had the perfect intonation and slow pace that was perfect for Eichard.

Great narration, slight creepy story

You're in for a treat with this one... it looks cute. It looks subtle. It's not. It's a kick in the face, and a powerful one at that. This is story #3 (I think) in this series. It's kind of confusing because The Genesis Revelation is a prequel.

I think it's
The Genesis Revelation
Sparkle Ship Shine (my favorite)
The Farmer's Daughter
Brood Company

Not as cute as it sounds

The Farmers Daughter is a very short read. It stands by itself as a story but does reference the horror of the first book in this series. If you only have a little time then this book will pass it quickly. An interesting short series. Can’t wait to see where this is going.
If you are squeamish, beware. This Sci-Fi story series has moved into the Horror genre.

I like that this is a continuation of the series from Sparkle Ship Shine. Another cool character and story surrounding the same evil robot.

Old guy and his ship.

Cool little story. I grabbed this because Justin Thomas James is such a great voice actor. I wasn't at all disappointed. Will be getting the others in the series, though I wish JTJ did them all.

"Stellar" story
