I read this book and followed his therapeutic regimen daily during a relapse of depression. In conjunction with an antidepressant (Pristiq) and weekly visits with my psychiatrist these powerful techniques brought comfort and relief. If you or someone you know is suffering from depression then be the candle in the dark and give them a copy of this book.

I had been struggling to read first the soft back, then the Kindle version of this book. It was just a bit dense. The audible version was perfect for me. I was able to get through the book and retain the information. The coping mechanisms within this book really help me turn my depression around and I'm feeling a lot better than I was.

The information is not WooWoo, but very logical and action specific. Each concept is easy to understand and then take action on. Very interesting and relevant, not to mention helpful. Both my wife and teenage son are reading it now.

Buy 10 copies and give them away... Best book!!!

Even though Feeling Great kind of replaces this book this book is still better then all other books out there for depression. Following the exercises in this book not only cured my depression but gave me tools to deal with relapse.

Now getting rid of anxiety is much more difficult and is part of the reason I relapse on depression. That's where his other books come in. The newer book Feeling Great should be required reading in High School in my opinion.
