Jack Walker and the other survivors continue their search for others. Unbeknownst to them, the night runners have initiated their own gathering and, with Michael's leadership, they are adapting. The survivors learn about some of these adaptations and strive to stay one step ahead. Their continued existence depends on it.

Factors enter the picture which could fracture both groups. Jack fights for the survival of humankind while Michael must do the same for the night runners. Heading off to search for other remnants of humanity, Jack is unaware of the danger that lurks within the heart of the sanctuary - an act of kindness, seemingly so small, that could bring about the destruction of all he holds dear.

While both sides fight for their very survival, an infatuation arises that could destroy both of them.

P.O.V.

at first i enjoyed the creatures P.O.V. but this has quite a lot of it. i like the action and story but the night runner side stories are slow but grwat performance and love the story otherwise.

Thank you John another great book. I am ready for the next book. Jack is crazy but it’s keeping alive now wait until finds out about Linn shit going to hit the fan. I see Nuclear bombs or MOBs coming down on the night runners

Nice twist in this book!

Loved it, cant wait to see what happens next. Lots of action lots of drama and humor.

Awesome as usual

Again, a great sequel. Story doesn't change much. But lots of new developments, the ending was not expected. Can't wait till the next one.
