Obsession in Death

In Death, Book 40

By: J. D. Robb

Narrated by: Susan Ericksen

Lieutenant Eve Dallas walks the thin line between love and hate in this fabulous 40th thriller from #1 New York Times bestseller J. D. Robb....

Eve Dallas has solved a lot of high-profile murders for the NYPSD and gotten a lot of media. She - and her billionaire husband - are getting accustomed to being objects of attention, of gossip, of speculation.

But now Eve has become the object of one person's obsession. Someone who finds her extraordinary, and thinks about her every hour of every day. Who believes the two of them have a special relationship. Who would kill for her - again and again....

With a murderer reading meanings into her every move, handling this case will be a delicate - and dangerous - psychological dance. And Eve knows that underneath the worship and admiration, a terrible threat lies in wait. Because the beautiful lieutenant is not at all grateful for these bloody offerings from her "true and loyal friend." And in time, idols always fall....

Awesome!

I love these series with Dallas & Roarke. I can't wait to see what they're up to next. I love the entire crew.

Best voice actor in the business excellent story

This series is excellent. I’ve listened to many multiple times. Susan Erickson is an absolutely excellent voice over artist. None better, truly. Great actor, Crystal clear characters. Great work by author and narrator

Back in the Groove

This book has all the elements that made this series great in the first place-suspense, romance, relationships, humor. J. D. Robb's got her groove back! Narration is superb!

Eve's Number 1 Fan

Would you consider the audio edition of Obsession in Death to be better than the print version?

I like the audio edition because I can work while listening to the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The way Eve's Detectives and Officers rallied to her side and understood automatically the implications of the messages left by her admirer. Each of them volunteered their time in addition to their already full workload to find the suspect.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

I love her versatility. Each character has their own unique accent and tone.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Lt. Eve Dallas Number One "Fan"
