If you liked the movie, you should love the book

I'd never heard of Jack Reacher before seeing the movie. Of course the book is even better. This edition is very well read as well. Jack Reacher is a man's man. I'm going to read more of these books.

Great Suspense from a Master

Would you listen to Jack Reacher: One Shot again? Why?

I tend not to relisten to a suspense novel where all the mystery and suspense is already known to me.

What did you like best about this story?

This was one of the best of Childs' books. A really good puzzle wrapped around good Jack Reacher action.

Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all of Dick Hill's Harry Bosch performances. He's my favorite reader, and he's great again here. I especially loved his portrayal of Cash, the ex-Marine. What a good character brought to life well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were moments of laughter, but this wasn't a book for crying.

Any additional comments?

I could not wait to get in my car and listen to this book. Lee Child is a great suspense novelist, and he's at the top of his game here.

Great story line, Lee Child hit another one out of the park. Looking forward to the next book!

How does Lee Child keep doing this?

Jack grabs us by the cajones and doesn't let go from Chapter 1 to finish. One of the best.

This one was pretty good.

Much better than the last one. But I think I'm just burnt out on Jack right now. I felt that while this was a good book there was something more missing. I think I'll give myself a break and go read a few other things before the next one of Jack. Hopefully the break will make me appreciate him more. But I will definitely be back.
