Family

This was a cute story and I really enjoyed it. The narrator was fantastic! I'll admit it wasn't super romancy like I'd originally thought, but you can still feel the love between her and her wife and I enjoyed that too.

I want more please!!

I loved listening to this mystery! I loved the character development of Yolanda as she comes to terms with her gifts! The relationships in this book are really what made it stand out for me. The tenderness of the relationship with her wife Sydney, your best friend and brother. I loved the representation of people of color. The author made this feel so natural- exactly how it should be. I crave sapphic books with Black and Latina leads! Women who are smart, strong and loving. The narration was excellent!! I impatiently wait for the next one 😁. Please, please. I need more Yolanda and her crew!!

Ambitious undertaking

This author wrote a paranormal crime mystery with threads of grief and guilt driving the MC’s actions. There is a large cast of characters and I could only listen when I could focus on the book and details given about the people and crimes. If you want something cozy and easy this is not it. The ending felt to abrupt to me. I think the book could’ve benefited from an epilogue and some more dialogue regarding the resolution of her long-standing deep grief and guilt.

This was a new narrator to me. I appreciated her proper Spanish pronunciations. I thought she did a decent job with character voices. I would listen to another book that she narrates.

I was able to listen to it for free. Honestly, if I had used a credit, I would’ve been disappointed.
