This book was very good, I couldn’t stop listening. Abby brought this story to life.

Enchanting tale on known fairytales

Is this story corny at times and predictable, sure but it is worth the listen. Craden is amazing as always and McKay again displays her normal character development and great writing. I loved this story and enjoyed the listen. Some reviews talk about encouraging cheating and it's obvious that person didn't listen to the story because that is not what happened lol. Always enjoy this author's storytelling style and def want more! I love how consistent this author's style is. Some authors, their books are almost like they were written by different people, but not McKay!

Another fantastic story from Milena McKay. This time instead of an ice queen we were gifted with the kindest and gentlest of souls that so clearly internalized everything they’ve ever experienced.

Abby Craden is once again spectacular at bringing the characters to life she is one of my favorites.

Abby Craden and Milena McKay are an award winning duo and this book is no exception. Abby brings to life all the characters and the idiosyncrasies. Even the minor characters are not forgotten.

Least fave so far

The story was good if you just want something that follows a modern fairytale theme but I would have to say it’s my least favorite by this author so far.
I found it hard to become engaged in for the first several chapters. And then rather had to follow at times, where it felt like big milestones passed quickly and you were missing something that led up to that. It was good, just not my fave. As far as narration goes, although I do feel like Abby Craden as a narrator has been feeling burnt into the ground, by how she narrates sooooo many stories; I will say this was some of my favorite work by here so far! She really did a great job of painting an image of so many personalities/backgro

Two Cinderella's long and winding road to HEA.

Milena McKay and Abby Craden maybe I just need to end here. Such a dynamic duo.
So what was it about this story made me lose focus. It began so intriguing , I swear Ms Mckay channelled cat like behaviour in Chiara, toying so effortlessly with Vi. Absolutely delicious. However as the story progressed the constant internal adoration whilst initially heartfelt and understood became slightly aggravating for me. enough already. I found myself wanting to jump to end the ....angst? I forced myself not to skip to the HEA because everything else needed answers. It is Milena McKay, so yes, lots of side stories and people who all play their parts. Some good and some just need to drop dead.
It IS a good read/listen. Definitely worth your credit. Ms McKay's penchant for inserting felines who all do a great service to their species sometimes mirrored my internal thoughts as I listened. She makes them so real with their condescending attitudes. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with past characters. Arabella, you're still my queen...darling.

This book is freaking amazing

I only have a couple hours left but my goodness. I’m astounded by this one. I love every single word written by Milena (and spoken by Abby ofc) but this book. Wow. It’s amazing, I couldn’t wait to finish to review it. If you have read any of milenas book, you know what is coming, but this is the best one out of the 4. And I thought her first book was my endgame.

I waited forever for the audiobook, many times I wanted to just read the book but waiting for Abby to narrate it was worth it. Her best yet. Jesus this book is awesome.

If this is your first Melina book, read the other 3 asap.

Never disappoints man

Ugh. Milena. Just ugh. If perfection was defined as writing. It would mean Milena McKay.

Good read

I finished this in 1 day, so yes it was a great book. That being said I only gave it 4 stars, mainly due to it being pretty angsty. I'm not a big fan of angst, however the story and the characters were WONDERFUL. I LOVED that previous characters from past books were included, they are like 'seeing old friends' in a new story. The spicy scenes were a bit tamer than her other books, but they were there and weren't over the top. Still 🔥 though. ♥️♥️

The narrator was freaking AWESOME. Abby Craden keeps getting better and better, her accents are so good. (the Irish one is the best!) Thank you Abby for making the story come to life.
