A slow drip with a latte drama.
Jordan Alexander is in a rut. Her life is not what she envisioned for herself, and she’s barely able to scrape by on the salary she makes as a coffee shop manager. Suddenly facing the daunting prospect of either finding a new roommate or a more affordable place to live, Jordan's stress levels reach a boiling point.
Noémie St. Pierre is a customer from hell. Every weekday morning, Noémie struts into the coffee shop like she owns the place and often makes a fuss. Jordan can’t stand the woman.
But Noémie's life isn't as perfect as it seems, and when her father—founder of the globally expanding Poutine Heaven franchise—cuts off her financial support, Noémie's world is turned upside down. Desperate, Noémie gets a job at the coffee shop, and upon learning of Jordan’s housing woes, proposes they move in together. Reluctantly, Jordan agrees.
As they navigate their new living arrangement, Jordan uncovers surprising depth to Noémie that challenges her previous assumptions, and she develops feelings she never expected. But Noémie dates men, and Jordan doesn’t do relationships. So, all Jordan can hope is that her feelings won’t brew complications.
Warning! This romance ain't cookie cutter. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of jealousy, angst, and messiness that rivals Tryst Six Venom.
French Pressed Love is a slow burn romance that will have you sipping up all the drama well past your bedtime.

Jordan is going through a lot ... A LOT! Hookups, hangups, and no direction in life. Oh, and commitment seems to be an issue. She is at a point where change might be good.
Enter Noémie, who Jordan hates AND crushes on - yes, simultaneously. It's not the smoothest start for them...they're from different worlds. Noémie has issues of her own to deal with.
Do they balance each other out? No.
Are they perfect for each other? Again, no.
Are they hott together? Absolutely.
So many other great characters, too! I hope Sarah gets a story. Oh, and Kristen as well!
Dara Brown did a wonderful job narrating! 👏👏👏

I went into this book knowing it was going to be messy and I think in order to enjoy it you need that caveat. It's MESSY. It's got lying, and jealousy, and massive amounts of manipulation and miscommunication. These two MC's are wildly toxic and need lots of therapy but yet I was still rooting for them.
The book is told from Jordan's POV and I do think I would have appreciate a little of Noémie's as well.
Because the entire book Jordan thinks Noémie is straight and keeps trying to tamp down her feelings, I got a lot of angst but not a lot of yearning. And without Noémie's POV I didn't anything from her but mixed feelings and bitchiness with a side of jealousy.
By the time we get these two together the book is over and I really needed more time for this thing to develop because I didn't buy into the love at all.
That said I really did love the messiness when I was in it. It was clever and fun and toxic and I knew these characters are totally imperfect but still wanted them to find happiness.
So that's why the 3.5 stars.
It's pretty good especially if you like MESSY

Jordan's best friend and roommate is in love with her, so she's going to move to Vancouver with her new girfriend. This leaves Jordan unable to afford rent in her city anymore and finding a roommate seems impossible. Meanwhile, at the cafe she works at, her least favorite customer stops showing up and leaves her curious about why cause though she hates how difficult Neomi is, Jordan can't deny how attracted to her she is. But Neomi is straight and the daughter of Canada's biggest bigot, but when Neomi asks for a job at the cafe and invites Jordan to be her roommate, Jordan can't get herself to say no.

Jordan Alexander is a Barista at a coffee shop who makes enough to get by. Her roommate is about to move to the other side of Canada and she will have to either move out or get a roommate. Little did she know the woman she walks home from the bar is about to be her roommate.
Noemie St. Pierre is an heiress to Poutine Heaven which has earned her the unknown nickname “Poutine Princess” by Jordan and the others that work at the coffee shop she frequents. The stuck-up Noemie ends up needing a job after being cut off from the family so she is hired to work at the same coffee shop as Jordan. After finding out Jordan’s situation, she offers a room at her house for Jordan to rent.
I received this as an Audible audiobook from the author in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed every moment of this audiobook. I might be a little biased only because I love a good angsty enemies-to-lovers book. Jordan is absolutely enamoured with Noemie and that is before she knows who she really is. Once she finds out who she is and that her father and his business are synonymous with anti-lgbtqia+ rhetoric, Jordan’s outlook of Noemie changes. This doesn’t last long because Jordan finds out that Noemie is nothing like her father.
If you’re not a fan of enemies-to-lovers or anything with angst in it and you question why a couple just doesn’t talk about things, then this isn’t the book for you. Are Jordan and Noemie a little toxic for each other? Yes. That makes this book a little more realistic for me. No couple is perfect and Jordan and Noemie are far from perfect but they’re perfect for each other and that’s what matters.
One reason, or person, is what got me invested in this book: the narrator. Sometimes a voice fits the narration of a book perfectly and that person is Dara Brown. She brought life to Jordan and Noemie and I was hooked into the story as soon as Dara started speaking. I know nothing of the French Language but the integration of French into French Pressed Love is spoken (to me) flawlessly. This is a book I will listen to or read again.
P.S. There’s a strap scene. Frankly, that’s also a good selling point.
