I loved this book. And I hated the book! lol it was definitely one that made you feel things and left you wanting more!

Very good book!

This was very suspenseful from when Sloan went through the worst any 13 year old could ever imagine,

20 years later Sloan met the woman she fell in love. The tragedy that Sloan and Regan went through was such that it almost brought me to tears.

The book had everything that made it such a great book. Well done!

I really enjoyed Out of the Flames. Sloane and Finn are great characters. Looking forward to book two.

discombobulating yet engaging

I understand what the author was trying to do by rushing through the first part of the story and others, however the timeline jumping made it feel like there were chunks of the book missing. I wanted more time to connect with the characters.

Once I got through that however it was very engaging somewhat realistic story, however the pacing issues didn't fully resolve themselves. That said I'm glad I found this author and series and will dive in to more.

Also for those dealing with Trauma perhaps puck a lighter book or wait til the good days return as I did to continue.

Interesting story

This is the first that I’ve heard of this author but I really liked the romance/suspense storyline. Lots of twists and turns so be prepared.
