Delightful

This was so unexpectedly light and funny. Titus is hilarious with his Shakespearean insults for Aegaeon and Charisemnon and his relationship with his sisters and also with Alexander. Sharine is also fantastic. Her character growth is amazing. I love Justine’s voicing of her.

The romance is sweetly slow burn and the action is fast-paced without being frenetic. This is a great breather after the intensity of War. Now, I’m wondering whose story is next.

Disappointing amateurish entry

Started off well enough but soon sunk into teenage romance territory. I found myself wondering if ghost writer was used. Instead of focusing on the threat, the story focused on the romance and complete character change in Lady Sharine (Hummingbird). The resolution to the primary danger was ridiculously fast. Identify one item in a diary, location identified from a drawing without reference source, and arriving just in time to save “the cure”. There was no gradual build up, search, etc. This was more character studies mixed with teen romance than a novel worthy of the Guild Hunter series.

Good, buuut a bit too much like a clip show for me

Don't get me wrong, i loved the chemistry between Titus and Sharine, every time they were in the book together i had a goofy grin on my face. I also love the fact that this story shows us that just because the big bad is defeated doesn't mean everything has gone back to normal. I really hope we get more stories like this one in the future. Now for my nitpicks, between the time skips and the constant delving into the long memories of these two old beings, things in the present seemed to happen very quickly. I know there is only so many ways you can say "he chopped off zombie heads" before it gets tedious. However, the time skips made it seem like they went from irritation to passionate love in a matter of days rather than the weeks it was supposed to be. Not to mention we spend so much time in the past that the present isn't given much time before we delve back into yet another memory. Honestly, things skip so much that when they have their first kiss i found myself going back and wondering if i had lost a chapter somewhere. They go from a dinner with tons of sexual tension to the after math of a recent battle and making out in what felt like a single paragraph...it was kind of jarring. Still i found the book and it's characters tons of fun, and if my only complaint is that i didn't get more of them together.... Well then the author probably did a good job at making them compelling people. Hope there are more books to come.

It's your money and your time... choose wisely!

I've really enjoyed the majority of the Guild Hunter series, but really, this book is so boring that I couldn't stay focused at all. If there are any more books in this series, I will definitely be passing them by!

A lovely follow to Archangel’s War

The Hummingbird is no longer asleep - hello Lady Sharine. This book was lovely, slower paced more like some of the other more mystery based entries and with so much story from the past to fill in holes throughout the series. For example (not really a spoiler!) Sharine was the one to find Raphael after he was broken by his mother (and her still dear friend despite her actions while insane)...this explains the love he has for her more than just to the mother of Illiam. Also, the wit and the hilarity that is her sarcasm to Titus and the humor of the two of them trying to use a cell phone caused me to laugh out loud. “My Lord Titus - an archangel takes his pants off the same as everyone else - I should know.” Haha!

This was a very great addition to an already strong set of books. I hope to see more stories from other archangels POV as they can be so different. Perhaps Neha will find someone to bring her back to life - or Suyin (sp?). I am not sure if I will ever be ready for Aodhan story - I don’t want to know what he went though!

Titus Deserved A Better Story

I was glad to hear Titus story and loved the re-evolution of Sharine. It was a decent story but I expected more. Although I like Titus, i just think his story was a bit weak. I felt like something was missing. I did appreciate the background of the Hummingbird and loved the two of them together. The backstory is probably what was off for me. I don’t know but it wasn’t the main characters the felt off. I would give them 5 stars but the back story I would give 3 stars.

New Favorite

I’ve listened to everything from Ms. Singh and never been disappointed. In the GH series, Archangel’s Blade has ALWAYS been my favorite. I’ve probably listened to it over 100 times, but today this book has taken it’s place!! I LOVE The hummingbird and Titus. This book felt a bit different. So many emotions!!

The Hummingbird Has Awakened

Lady Sharine “Hummingbird “ has come into her own in this story. The development of a love story with Titus is gradual as each not only sees strength and honor but also gentleness and kindness in each other. This story is one of my favorites in this series. Now if only Ms. Singh would write faster. Lol
