Even though I've read this book before & watched it on TV, I still find listening to it again enjoyable. The narrator makes it sound fresh.

Enjoyed

My 14 year old and I were riveted to this story. It was a perfect audiobook for listening with the lights off right before bed, atmospheric yet so creepy we had to keep listening.

Dan Stevens is one of the best narrators we have encountered, and absolutely perfect for Christie. His various characters are beautifully done.

The mystery itself is a bit odd, but one of Christie's ideas that has haunted me since I read it as a teen!

I would recommend this without reservation. Wish I could give the narration even more stars.

Classic mystery with perfect narration

What did you love best about And Then There Were None?

I think this is Christie's best book. I have read it, listened to it, and seen it performed as a play. I think the plot is solid, and because the characters are all being bumped off on an island, they know the killer is one of their party. It's quite fun to see how they turn on each other, which is typical human behavior. When the going gets tough, the fingers start to point!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, because every few minutes someone is shuffling off their mortal coil!

What does Dan Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His reading was very well done. I was slightly doubtful about Stevens doing the reading because most of the Christie books on Audible are performed by Hugh Fraser, who was Captain Hastings in all of the David Suchet "Poirot" films. Solid performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I listened to this one while walking, so I had to break it up into shorter segments.

Any additional comments?

Great work!

The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star was the narrator. Just did not like him. In normal Chtistie form the story was great.

did not see it coming

A nail biter for sure! I had to see it through to the end. There was something about the ending that did not ring true but trust me, I did not figure out who did it. I thought it was between Mr. & Mrs. Rogers. It was neither. That's the only clue you'll get from me. Enjoy!

Status has done it again!

Dan Stevens is so great at narration and he didn't disappoint here. The combination of Christie's excellent story and Stevens' excellent narration makes this one for the ages.
