Ann Leckie
"There are few who write science fiction like Ann Leckie can. There are few who ever could." -- John Scalzi
On a remote, icy planet, the soldier known as Breq is drawing closer to completing her quest.
Once, she was the Justice of Toren -- a colossal starship with an artificial intelligence linking thousands of soldiers in the service of the Radch, the empire that conquered the galaxy.
Now, an act of treachery has ripped it all away, leaving her with one fragile human body, unanswered questions, and a burning desire for vengeance.

I really enjoyed the main character, and the narration was some of the best I’ve heard in an audiobook. Each character was very distinctly narrated, you could always tell who was talking at any given moment. Just wonderful voice acting,
While the words can be alien, the concepts are very easy to understand, much unlike some other sci-fi I’ve read. The technology isn’t so futuristic to be unrecognizable, rather fairly easy to visualize. The cultures and way that the author utilizes languages in this book is fascinating and incredibly intriguing.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone, regardless of whether sci-fi is your cup of tea or not.
Unexpectedly Intriguing
