An Unexpected Everything

I couldn’t wait to see what the past between Weston and Isabella was with the end of the last book, and it was sooo good! The Cage family has so many secrets so it doesn’t surprise me that Isabella had her own. I adored Weston’s siblings and the small town of Cage Lake. The way all the Cage siblings are coming together and learning each other is so much fun to watch. I can’t wait to find out more about all of them.

I loved An Unexpected Everything.. Love the Cages and the Cadwells. Weston and Isabella’s story was so good. happily ever after. The narration was beautifully taken up by Teddy and Emma.

Weston and Isabellela had spent the better part of two months together, until he took off one night, leaving a note without any answers.. Heartbroken, she does the only thing she can: she returns home and puts her family above anything else.. Who needs love? Not Isabella, that's for sure.

Weston lives in the small town of Cage Lake, where he works as the local mechanic. Things haven't been easy for him over the last several years, but that's okay because he's getting through everything, and things are getting a little bit easier.

I loved Isabella and Weston together; you could feel how hungry they were for one another, even when Isabella was still so angry at the way he left her. Weston never thought he'd be given a second chance with Bella, so he was going to make sure she gave him one, and he wasn't going to take no for an answer when he asked her for one.

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook version narrated by Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton., They each brought another layer to the story, which is always a lot of fun. If you have access to the audiobook, I definitely recommend it.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy spicy contemporary romance, Small-Town Romances, Close-Proximity Romances, second-chance-at-love romance, Single "Dad" romances, and Enemies-to-Lovers romances.

Small town goodness

An Unexpected Everything (The Cage Family #2) is a small town, single parent romance.

I really enjoyed Weston and Isabella’s book. Great chemistry build, engaging drama and a wonderful ending. I’m continuously pleased with the growth of the Cage family. Navigating the new family dynamic effortlessly. I look forward to the next book in this series!

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder did a wonderful job portraying these characters. Entertaining narration.

LOVE Weston and Isabella

Weston and Isabella have history. When Weston ended their relationship without an explanation, Isabella was heartbroken and very angry. Several years later, a mishap brings them face to face again. Deciding to clear the air about the past, Weston and Isabella decide that their HEA is being together and neither are letting the other get away again.

A second chance love story with over protected brothers and a little suspense. Weston is so swoon worthy. Great narration by Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder.

An Unexpected Everything is the second book in the Cage Family series. It is a small town, second chance, single parent romance.
Weston and Isabella's story was a very enjoyable read. You get off the charts chemistry, steam, plenty of drama and all the feels. I absolutely love the Cage family and of course the close family dynamic.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder did a fabulous job bringing these characters and this story to life.

Love Weston

The Cage Family #2 and I dove straight into this headfirst. Carrie is in a class of her own when it comes to storytelling. I fell in love with Weston and Isabella right from the start. The chemistry and dynamics of the characters along with the story was outstanding.

Sweet, second chance romance!

Oh Isabella and Weston! I’m here for a Carrie Ann Ryan second chance romance *swoon* Isabella and her siblings are finding a new normal after their dad turned their lives upside down. Going back to Cage Lake wasn’t something she was wanting to do when she had a scare and Weston was the one to catch her. He was from her past, but her current situation precluded her from living her life as it was. So, Cage Lake and Weston entered the chat.
I enjoyed their journey and their reconciliation. They had to learn about things in their past in order to move forward. And neither one of them were the same person from before. So they had a chance to learn who they were in the now. And both Weston and Isabella look out for those they love in their lives. I loved how Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder brought these characters to life!

Love the Cage family

Book 2 in The Cage Family Saga, and it’s a second chance. Which, let’s face it, couldn’t we all use a second chance in life? Isabella, an extended Cage sibling, has been going through it. The family tells her to go to Cage Mountain, and there she runs into a blast from the past, a love that left and she never knew why. Weston has had a lot going on also. But these two connecting again had to be fate. And second chances are sometimes better than the first. Teddy Hamilton & Emma Wilder do such a great job narrating this. Can’t wait for the next book in the series

Threats, secrets and protective BIG brothers

An Unexpected Everything is book 2 in the Cage Family series and follows the eldest Cage Dixon sibling (aka the other Cages) Isabella as she reconnects with her hated first love Weston.

Isabella is the oldest Cage Dixon sibling and has been the one to take care of her siblings and protect them. She became a forensic accountant so she could help her sister, Sophia, open a dance studio. Did she want to be a forensic accountant? Probably not her first, or even second, choice. She is the responsible one, the facilitator and the one to get through to get to any of her siblings.

Weston is the oldest sibling. Eight years ago, he and Isabella were a couple. Until one fateful night changed the courses of both their lives. He has spent the last eight years raising his brother and twin sisters in Cage Lake.

Over the last eight years, these two have not communicated. So much has happened in each of their lives that they do not even know each other anymore.

But when Bella takes a weekend off at Cage Lake, there is a mishap causing her to scream out. Weston is the one who comes to her rescue, and their story begins.

When an incident happens outside of Cage Enterprises involving Bella, her brothers come to her aid. But her reaction causes them to take notice and make her spill her guts. However, Aston is not surprised by her story. Based on what has just happened, plus the details of the story they just heard, the BIG brothers decide it is best for her to move to Cage Lake until they can assess the risk to her.

While Bella is in Cage Lake, Weston is always around. She was hoping to avoid him, but life in a small town means you are always running in to each other. They finally sit down and talk and even though she now understands what happened eight years ago, she still has issues with trusting him.

As Bella is finding out, the joy of small town life is everybody knowing you and your business. They all know she is a Cage. They want to know if she is going to build a house there like her brothers. And when she gets sidelined by Ms Patti, I had to laugh.

These gossip gals make several appearances in this story. Ms Patti has her thumb on the pulse of the city. She has to as the Mayor's wife. No matter how private Bella and Weston are, these ladies seem to know their business. And when she gets sidelined by them on the sidewalk, it is not an easy task to get away.

After an altercation at Weston's house between one of the twins and her boyfriend, everyone attends the girls' high school graduation. But when Bella and Weston have a misunderstanding, she heads to Aston's house. When Hudson makes him realize he was not giving her a chance to explain herself, he goes after her. As they are talking, a flash from her past rears its ugly head.

First off, let me just say that the gossip gals are a total hoot. I am really hoping to see more of these ladies in future stories. They know everything that goes on in Cage Lake. I cannot wait for them to meet Kyler. That is going to be the absolute funniest adventure.

Secondly, although I understand Weston's backstory, I do not agree with the way he handled it. Granted he was much younger, but why did he never contact Bella in that time.

Why does Bella not do something she really wants to now? She no longer needs to help Sophia with the dance studio. This is the time for her to live her life.

This last week has been a major Teddy Hamilton binge for me. He always comes through regardless of the book and the characters. Emma Wilder is always a favorite of mine. I have loved her in many of Carrie Ann Ryan's books as well as other authors. Both narrators never fail to deliver.
