Hudson and Scarlett’s complicated grumpy/sunshine romance was packed full of drama, suspense, and chemistry. The ever growing Cage family and their new dynamic is always entertaining and Lance Greenfield and Kit Swann’s incredible narration brought this emotional story life.

Love To Hate Each Other

Hudson Cage has always been the recluse in Cage Lake. What people don’t know is that he is a fierce protector of the people he loves.
Scarlett Blair has always tried to avoid Hudson. But because she works as a manager for the Cage Resort, she can’t really get away from him. Every time they come in contact they seem to fight. But in reality, all Hudson wants to do is protect her. And boy does she need protection from her past when it comes knocking at her door, multiple times.
They don’t want to love one another and they don’t think they deserve each other. But life has a funny way of making two people come together.

Hudson and Scarlett

A suspenseful, angsty, emotional and heartwarming romance that definitely had me on the edge of my seat. Hudson and Scarlett are great together. She brings out a side of him that is so different than anyone else has the pleasure of seeing. These two are both fighting their own demons but they find their sage harbor with one another. I adored and enjoyed everything about this fantastic story.

Amazing enemies to lovers romance

I received this as an arc/alc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing enemies to lovers romance. It was a really well written story and it had a great flow. The series has become one of my favorites by this author and this book only cemented that. Hudson and Scarlett had such wonderful chemistry and I loved their dynamic. The story touched on some though subjects and was very emotional. I absolutely loved it.

Audiobook review: I loved listening to this story, the narrators were great at portraying the characters and they were very well matched on pace and volume.

One Quick Obsession

One Quick Obsession is a grumpy sunshine romance with suspense. Scarlett and Hudson had red hot chemistry and I love the verbal sparring between them. They both have past traumas that help each other through. I loved that as much as Hudson tried to stay away he couldn’t help but protect her. I loved the way that these two were there for each other no matter what. Overall I loved Scarlett and Hudson’s journey to their happy ending but the story deals with some heavy subjects.

Kit Swann and Lance Greenfield narrate this story in dual narration. These two did a great job bringing these characters to life. Kit brought out Scarlett’s personality and was amazing at bringing out the her emotions and making you feel what she felt. Lance did amazing at bringing out Hudson’s grumpy and protective personality as well as portray how much he cared about his family. They both gave great performances. Thank you to Carrie for an early listen. I loved revisiting the Cage family again and looking forward to the next in the series.
