Good Book!!! Horrible Narrator!!!

Thank God I already read this book because, had I not, I would've given the entire review 1-star. Lacy Laurel is a horrible narrator. I don't understand why she felt the need to speak like she was talking in slang the entire book. It was so unnecessary and annoying. The female character is a black educated woman so, why would you voice her like that?!!! Lacy Laurel does that with all of the books she narrates. I don't know if this is something she does naturally or if she does it purposely but, what I do know is, she needs to stop. She doesn't know how to do a decent male character and , as with all of the books she narrates, ALL of the characters sound the same. This was a horrible performance. I really wish authors would read the Audible reviews on narrators BEFORE they choose them to narrate their books. This is the third book by Chencia Higgins I've listened to that had a horrible narrator. If she keeps making bad narrator choices, I'ma have to buy her books on Kindle only.

Ok ummmm

I gave this book 5 stars because I absolutely love this book, but narration is 1. I read it on Kindle books and when I saw it on audible I was SOOOOOO EXCITED, but then I saw the narrator, so so so disappointed. Not Lacy Laurel, not for this book OMG NOT FOR THIS BOOK. I heard the first few words and just couldn't do it. Please release it again with a new narrator
