It was OK

Kinda dragged in places. Narrator was a little slow and spotty at times but overall was pretty good. I found the main female character, tiring mulish always jumping to the worst conclusion and kind of ugly in attitude, I don’t really know what he saw in her. He wasn’t Mr Wonderful the whole time either but she started off with dislike.. it seemed to stay thought the whole book. Ch 23 and still assuming the worst and going off waspish. Too long to go on like that.

interesting characters and writing style

The character development gives a real sense of understanding the type of people you're reading about. I like that there is more story and less "physical intimacy", but that it is still there and done in a tasteful way.

Great story!

Really entertaining listen! Each chapter had entertaining bits and plenty of secondary characters and sub plots. I was a bit disappointed with our heroine’s inability to verbally take down her female enemies though. This was somewhat out of character for her. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Sweet with a little naughty

Like the book’s description said, this is full of pride and prejudice, but it’s also actually a sweet love story. It was a little heavy handed with the modern concept of double standards, a bit preachy even. The story was well written and provided a good amount of anticipation. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I also greatly enjoyed the narrator. I will seek out more of her narrations in the future.

Mistakes not to make when narrating a good book

Such a good story utterly ruined by choppy almost robotic narrative. I listened to the whole thing, but it took multiple resets as the story mattered but the narration lost me repeatedly.

That said, it was an enjoyable story. I wish I had just read it though!
